I wouldn't be surprised if Sydney radio was saying the reverse of this, i.e. that the Essendon regime was clearly dodgy & players knew what they were doing was wrong. You're probably right though, the fact that they caved right away at least seems to indicate that they knew it was wrong- Words: 52

The extra man back is fine, but while teams are throwing pagans paddock at us he needs to stay in the defensive 50. So not Gibbs, Duigan would be the man for it. They can lob the ball and try to run back on it, Duigs would certainly make them earn it... -

Ah apologies, dove to stop a ball crossing our goal line. However it wasn't a dive into a pack. I'd like to see Gibbs attack the footy or ball carrier more often, I'd say that's where his hardness comes into question -

We're one of the hunted teams now, inevitably these challanges arrive. Dons are pretty good at it too, beat WCE & geelong last year. They slowed us down & forced us wide after our forwards have been thriving on quick ball movement, plus the boys were a bit soft. Best time to learn lessons is... -
