Preview Round 10: Essendon Bombers vs Oliver Twist Kangaroos, Marvel Stadium, Sunday 19th May, 1:10pm

Can see us playing the same team, but surely Bryan and/or Caddy would be considered.

    AFL Player 6: Jye Caldwell

Tbf the team calling last night on Fox was really good

Coach Men's Senior Coach: Brad Scott

    Brad Scott hates the sub

Preview Round 7: Essendon vs Collingwood, MCG, Anzac Day, 25/04/24 @ 3:20 PM

Scott also likes to pull a late change so take what he says with a grain of salt.

There is a lot of upside for a good coach with either of the lists at North or Suns

Now I’m looking forward to playing the Suns next year. Hopefully it’s at Marvel so we can trade Cheezels for Spuds!

Delisted 9: Dylan Shiel - Not returning to Essendon next year, thanks for your service Shiely!

    AFL Player 16: Archie Perkins

Spud! If only he didn’t take that contested mark against the weagles, we could have pick 6*

Game Day Round 17: Essendon v Crom, Marvel Stadium, Sunday July 9, 3.20pm AEST

Some games open up in the 2nd half — others tighten up because both teams have nothing left in the tank.

Game Day Round 17: Essendon v Crom, Marvel Stadium, Sunday July 9, 3.20pm AEST

Best build Up, patient and pulled trigger when needed

Delisted #10: Sam Weideman - Delisted. Thanks for your efforts, Sam! 18/10

We really should play him for a few games in this role alongside Wright and see how it works.

AFL Toast RND 13: Win Against The Blues

We need to target a mature 200cm defender but Baldwin has the potential to be better than Laverde and you can build a team defence around those sized players with a ruck helping out. (Eg Rance, grimes, vlaustin)

AFL Toast RND 10: Dreamtime Winning

Love how we brought a specific game plan to give us a chance
  14. S

    AFL Player 22: Sam Durham - Re-signed to 2032! - 20/2

Sam was huge in that last quarter. Attacked the ball harder than any other and 2 goals to boot.
  15. S

    AFL Player 31: Zach Reid

To be fair — compared to Baldwin and Montgomery, Reid is probably the most ready for a matchup on Daniher or Hipwood. Petty pedants can argue otherwise but they would be wrong 😑

AFL Autopsy RND 7: Beaten by the Cats

I get your point but from his 6 possessions he had 5 score involvements which does have an impact.

Oppo Camp Non-Essendon Football Thread XVI

To be fair, this year I just wanted to win Anzac Day and Dreamtime. While it was heartbreaking the way it played out on Tuesday it would be more disappointing to lose to the Tigers again

Riewoldt not so much. I didn’t see him today but he would be very useful for another contending side. Not so sure about next year though.

    Preview Round 7: Essendon vs Geelong - Sunday 30th April - 1:10pm - MCG

Surely he could perform some role for 4 quarters. He may be subbed out but a competent selection committee wouldn’t back themselves into a corner before the ball has bounced. He could play the deepest forward role late if required, will still be quick on the burst.
  21. S

AFL Player 1: Andrew "Pidge" McGrath (c)

Was awesome today, love seeing him run and attack with ball in hand but is also great at locking down — natural half back and glad we have him

    Zerk-Thatchers nickname?

Retired #43: Anthony "Walla" McDonald-Tipungwuti - Wins a flag with the Mildura Imperials

Made my week! I am fully onboard with Brad Scott now.

AFLW Toast R1: 26 point win over the Hawkes!!

That was great! Entertaining and I love beating those Hawthorne

Coaching Staff Former Coach Ben "Truck" Rutten - Sacked for real this time - 21/8

Can’t see Hird being interested in this circus so shouldn’t even be in the discussion. We are not landing trades so just take time and find the best coach before the draft. Is Buckley interested in coaching again?
  26. S

Coaching Staff Former Coach Ben "Truck" Rutten - Sacked for real this time - 21/8

It isn’t Trucks fault the list is devoid void of any leadership but he obviously isn’t the right guy to grow the culture. He has been all talk and no action and this list needs a serious look at itself. While its right to be sceptical that this club will just make the same mistakes this time...

Traded #30: Brandon Zerk-Thatcher - 🚨 traded to the Pear, thanks for your service

Not to take anything away from BZT and his own growth, but have we successfully developed a player here?

AFL Autopsy RND 19: Loss to the Pies

    Essendon continues to copy Richmond
