3rd Test: Australia vs South Africa, Newlands, March 1-5

He averages 1.33 wickets per 4th innings with an average of 35.62 and strike rate of 78.42. Making an impact on the 5th day has so far eluded him.

    Where are West Coast at?

Not enough contested ball winners in that engine room, they are absolutely reliant on Nic Nat, Kerr and Priddis being healthy if they want to beat elite midfields this season.

This secondary is laughably bad. McCourty is the only guy that can cover.

Play Nice Tippett Nominates Sydney - Part II

I'm not sure that the CoL allowance is as much of a drawing card as the extra sponsorship money and perks that the rich clubs can offer. Didn't Mal Michael say he earned more as Collingwood rookie than he did at Brisbane?

    Open Mike - Jason Ackermanis

Yeah, he made it sound like the dogs group was quite naive, would be interesting to hear Barry Hall's thoughts on the dogs, seeing as he moved from a successful club as well. Also thought his comment on teammates getting straight into coaching and not being up to scratch was funny.

    Freo vs WC umpiring

The Pavlich deliberate happened right in front of me, and I thought it was fair enough, no angle on the ball at all and a very deliberate action to get it over the line. The Rosa deliberate didn't really bother me, when I saw it I thought it was deliberate, but I was up the other end of the...

    2011 WWE Australian tour

I was at the Perth show last night, a few thoughts: The crowd was quiet, there were a lot of casuals in the building, lots of parents that had no interest in wrestling and were just there with their kids. I just don't think there were that many genuine wrestling fans in attendance - wrestling...

Fans pay most for AFL broadcast rights

I find it dissapointing to read articles like that on the conversation, one of my favourite sites. Emotionally driven article. I can undertand his protectionism of fans of less popular clubs not being able to see their teams on TV, but you could argue that these mega TV deals are keeping some...

Montagna Kicks The Ball 80 Metres ......

That's the first time I've seen it, I agree with Timmy that it was a good call. I can't believe the incident has created so much buzz. I remember Shane Crawford similarly kicking for touch around five years ago, and people complaining that it should have been called deliberate, damned if you...

General Media Grievances and Thumbs Down

Re: 7 Perth at it again Yep, oh well, makes it easier to study today I suppose. Is there a major sport anywhere else that has such poor television coverage? Inexcusable really for a sport that only has eight games a week.

Inside WWE Creative (Former WWE Writer)

They might start doing that sometime in the next few years - their PPV buyrates have been in steady decline for a number of years. Not the only thing that's been in steady decline either, they're going to have to make some drastic changes to their business model over the next few years.

Teams New England Patriots - The Pats

Re: New England Patriots: "The Pats" The mail was that he'd be playing for the Pats next year, but that was before Cinci opted to keep him under contract for another year. The fact that the Pats would have to trade for him and pay him for Cinci's contract makes it unlikely we go for him imo.

Teams New England Patriots - The Pats

Re: New England Patriots: "The Pats" I just saw the game on NFL Game Pass, so I'm a little behind the rest of you. This sucks, but the Jets played so well, they were getting to Brady without bringing the house, especially early on, and their coverage was awesome, that's what you need to do...

    Grand Final Day Drinking Games

I don't drink anymore, but my friends and I used to do this: Say you have ten people, have a look at the TAB's top ten favourites for the Norm Smith medal, put the ten top player's names into a hat and have every person pick a player from the hat. Now do the same process with the leading...

    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 3)

I remember saying something similar a few years ago on this forum. Someone informed me that many AFL players don't give much thought to their voting and give votes to whoever the media talks up for that given season. I'm now of the opinion that coaches award is the best indicator of the best...

    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 3)

I didn't see a lot to like in the groups and H2Hs. I put $100 on Thompson, Watson, Brown (team votes) into Judd, Hayes, Selwood (H2H) @ $20.54. I think that'll do me until the count. Good luck everyone, thanks to all that shared their insight.
