Pick 1 2023 Trade value - What would it take?

Nobody wants out of the top 8 picks except maybe Geelong. Can’t imagine north trading up to 8 and offering a combo of 2,8&15 would appeal to either club

Pick 1 2023 Trade value - What would it take?

Don’t think this deal can be done without the involvement of another club or future picks. I would say Melbourne have a better shot then we do at the moment . Don’t think pick 2&3 are getting packaged up.

Traded North Melbourne trade their 1st 2024 EoR1 pick to Gold Coast for #18

All about maxing there draft points, ideally they’d love pick 32 all the way back to 50

Club Focus North Melbourne 2023 - end of 1st round priority picks, extra rookie spots

Can’t wait to see the day on this platform when the AFL pulls the pin on priority picks. The team that’s bottom then will explode!!! Are they waiting for the year when the winner of the spoon has 5 wins. Someone will be bleating. But not us this year😉😉

News AFL to overhaul the draft, discuss changes to Academy and FS bid matching

Imagine in 2025 if the AFL just decided to clear the boards. Wooden spoon got Pick 1, no swaps, no NGA, no father sons! The draw also would have to be cleared up. 17 rounds playing every team once, alternating each year for home and away. Home being your own ground not Cairns, Hobart or...

Win Prizes 2022 Trade Hypotheticals - Worst 18 way trade gets a prize!

Nice work on that one, that would probably work for nort TBH

Club Focus North Melbourne 2022 - Logue, Tucker, Sheezel, Wardlaw, George, Harvey, Drury, Free, Howe, Turner

Can PP pick be part of a pick swap? If not what if a low level steak knives player was part of the deal?

Traded Jacob Hopper [Trade with #53, #63 to Richmond for #31 and F1]

I’ve posted on here before in regards to this subject, but if Norrth want to split pick 1 (and I hope they do) it’s in a 3 way trade where it will most likely get done. Running my amateur list manager eye over possible trade I like the chances on this one.

Traded Griffin Logue [Traded with Darcy Tucker, F3 to North for F2 PP, F3 PP and F4]

I think and hope North play hardball with Freo on this one. Future 2nd trade with Richmond last year sits bitter in the mouth of most fans.

Club Focus Fremantle 2022 - Corbett, Jackson, O'Meara, Davies, Emmett, Knobel, Reidy

With the Brodie/GC cap dump, Serong resigning and Jackson coming I’m guessing Freo is preparing is cap for next 3 years. Shedding depth some depth is the cost I guess.

    Player Watch #38: Tristan Xerri

Ageing veteran ruck resigned, 2 early 20,s understudy’s in first year of a contract. Young project player with possible big upside coming. Close the ruck threads down this year boys.

Traded Callum Coleman-Jones [Traded to North Melbourne with 42, 47 and a future 4th for Tarrant, 40 and a future 2nd]

This we win you lose back and forth is getting silly. CCJ will be judged in 5 years time and it looks like pick 20 will go through 2 or 3 clubs hands before it’s used. The winner in this is the CCJ trade thread on big footy.

List Mgmt. 2022 Trade & List Management Thread

Ccj and Xerri are both at the start of new contracts and will gain trade capital in a few more years, as the post Goldy ruck pecking order sorts it’s self out. I’m looking at ways Rankzines move back to Adelaide can possibly help us turn Pick 1 into 5 & 7?

Traded Jacob Hopper [Trade with #53, #63 to Richmond for #31 and F1]

As a North fan I’m looking at this trade a a potential to turn pick 1 into two first rounders (3/12 maybe). Thoughts please

Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

This is a tricky one for all parties. The sheer look of the number one pick leaving north after a year is horrible. JHF has had his moments this year but demeanour from the outside looks poor and delaying his contract may not pay out as much as his team hope. And the Adelaide clubs may find the...

Recommitted Cameron Zurhaar [Re-signed to 2024]

The general gist of this as far as I’m concerned is that losing Zuhaar would be more of a loss for North than a gain for Essendon (if that was the case).Heart and soul player who will probably benefit more than Larkey if we can get another big forward to play consistently

Recommitted Cameron Zurhaar [Re-signed to 2024]

Always thought Zuhaar deal may have been tied up to Luke Jackson’s decision? Not taking Essendon into account of course.

Game Day 2022 AFL National Draft Thread (North's current picks - Sheezel, Wardlaw, #23, #63)

Should bundle up pick one , Clarko, TT and Cunners together go to GWS and get Kelly. 3 rd times a charm

    Jumper clash fails

It would be nice to see retro VFA SAFL and WAFL jumpers be used as clash jumpers. As a example Geelong using the old Geelong West colours would be nice and perfect against Carlton for example. Of course clubs who believe there jumpers is like the Shroud of Turin will never be pleased.

Game Day 2022 AFL National Draft Thread (North's current picks - Sheezel, Wardlaw, #23, #63)

I imagine if we are looking for a extra pick in top end of the draft Richmond Sydney and GC will be are most likely trading partners for a pick exchange. Also how is Boomers son tracking?

Club Focus North Melbourne 2022 - Logue, Tucker, Sheezel, Wardlaw, George, Harvey, Drury, Free, Howe, Turner

What happens with Zuhaar this year will be interesting. Salary cap and poaching of players in there prime are not things we have had to worry about for a while but both will be factors going forward. I’m not sure how much cap space Freo still have but I’m sure there already into Zuhaar!!!

Recommitted Sam Walsh [Signed until 2026]

His management team must be licking there lips thanks to his season last year and the fact his a restricted free agent. If he strings a few good games together early or has a match winning run against Richmond at a packed MCG you could see a new record for biggest AFL contract. The Ablett and...

    Opinion The bidding system

Prior to the draft when a player nominates as a father son assign him a round based on all current knowledge of him and that’s that. In the case of this year, Daicos would have been drafted with pick 2 that Collingwood wouldn’t have traded and Darcy with 17 which the dogs probably would have...

Strategy Your club's best 22 in 2022 – Where are the gaps? Draft needs?

Totally agree. I’m sure JHF will spend most of his time forward, but KPD is a real worry, what chances Gibcus making it down to 20 🤪. The way Goldstein xerrie and CCJ work as a ruck team will be interesting, wouldn’t be surprised to see CCJ play as 2nd tall up forward for long periods this year...

Traded Callum Coleman-Jones [Traded to North Melbourne with 42, 47 and a future 4th for Tarrant, 40 and a future 2nd]

We had to trade for CCJ to help Larkey chair godly of in his 600th game in round 9 2026!!!

Club Focus North Melbourne 2021 - Greenwood, Coleman-Jones, Horne-Francis, Goater, Curtis, Bergman, Archer

From what we’ve all seen Horne runs both ways, kicks goals, tackles hard, can mark well over head, can multiple positions , loves the big stage. In 2 or 4 years time, if he has progressed as much as we all hope, these picks wouldn’t get him back as a restricted free agent. A trade that would...
