Massive IN for Alex. Sam Critchley ex St Kevin’s skipper, Big V representative and Williamstown VFL.

Sahaf Ali Gembrooks new signing was on there as well for a nice little price tag

    SEASON 2025

Belgrave have not offered 900 to any player, you’ve got some bad info

    SEASON 2025

Belgrave aren’t throwing big numbers around

    SEASON 2025

Belgrave have had a coach for about 3-4 weeks now. He just wanted to get all the players re signed and recruits in before announcing it. Was also waiting on a few assistants.

2026 player moves - ins and outs, signings and departures

Can confirm after trying to recruit an ashwood player to our club that a lot of there players are following the coach to donny

    SEASON 2025

Didn’t Drouin recently vote on the 23rd of June to enter West Gippsland ?

NOW to sometime later in the year (maybe) - Talk about anything

I’m not talking about the actions of players what I’m saying is where are Ashwood going to find the players from in the first next five years because they won’t be local. It’s not a sustainable model.

NOW to sometime later in the year (maybe) - Talk about anything

I don’t think Ashwood coming in is the right decision. They will do more harm to Forest Hill’s chances of survival than good. They’re too close in proximity and located in an area that just doesn’t play football, they will just become another Glen Waverley unfortunately. Also, for those not...

    SEASON 2025

I don’t think so either. If clubs get there transfer request in before the June 30th deadline which is in the league by laws I don’t see what grounds the league would have to reject it.
  11. B

    SEASON 2025

Belgrave are staying. The league spooked them and said they will reject there transfer and AFL Vic would reject an appeal.

    SEASON 2025

I actually think those results paint a pretty clear picture of the current mood in clubland. There’s a clear divide between let’s call it the inner east clubs and the outer east clubs. There’s a total of 18 clubs in the league and if the results from the survey are 10 clubs considering a...

    SEASON 2025

EFNL are the ones who initiated the meeting with Upwey last year after hearing they were upset that Unders would be going back to 18s instead of 19s.
  14. B

    SEASON 2025

If you wanted zero disruption to the current EFNL model of 10 team divisions you could go Wandin Division 1 then Upwey and the next best 3 or 4 sides depending on Forest Hill surviving next year to Division 4. Then have your 2 Divisions of Outer East/Yarra Valley Conference with no promotion or...
  15. B

    SEASON 2025

They would accept Wandin into Division 1 to eliminate the bye and make it 10 teams. But you’re right any other team would affect promotion and relegation so Div 4 is the only likely spot

    SEASON 2025

Very interesting times ahead for this league. It’s going to be near impossible to please everybody. I thought I would have a crack at it. Gembrook, Officer and Pakenham to West Gippsland. Gembrook have had their vets over there previously so it could appeal to them. Tony Mitchell ex Outer East...

    SEASON 2025

Wratten is a great ruckman there’s no doubt about that but the ranking points on premier data are heavily favoured towards his style of grab the ball out of the ruck style of rucking. Especially the last few years at Poweltown when there have been plenty of opportunities for him with a lot of...

    SEASON 2025

Sign on fees have always supposed to be included. Not very fair on ressies and unders players if they get a parent or there workplace to “sponsor” them and pay their fees. We should be encouraging players to find ways to pay there fees because that’s the difference between keeping them in the...

    SEASON 2025

Tony Mitchell is now the chairperson over at West Gippsland

    SEASON 2025

I went and watched Warby and Belgrave on the weekend. Warby are going to be very hard to beat. There midfield is very good and if anyone’s seen Tom Baker before that guy at this level is a handy player. Belgrave lost a few to season ending injuries.

    SEASON 2025

Hugo Munn, Tristan Van Driel and Cal Bradley Munn is the pick of the lot, he played at Central Districts in the SANFL last year

2025 player moves - ins and outs

Smyth from Mitcham back to Gully
  24. B

    SEASON 2025

You could chuck Belgrave in Div 4 and Upwey in Div 3. Do no promotion from Div 4 this year but relegation in Div 3. If Ashwood do join then EFNL will get their 10 team Division 4 and their 50 team model. It will most likely annoy the current Div 4 sides especially the next premiership club but...

NOW to sometime later in the year (maybe) - Talk about anything

Nunawading haven’t collapsed because of league expansion. Simply, there is too many clubs in that area and not enough people that play football. Go to any auction on a Saturday in Nunawading and surrounds and you’ll see a demographic that doesn’t play football unfortunately.

    SEASON 2025

100% correct Outer East need to pull the pin sooner rather than later. They are stopping clubs from trying to grow and improve . At the end of the day you have to look at the demographic of Vets players. EFNL play Friday nights which for young Dad’s is perfect after Auskick. They then get the...

NOW to sometime later in the year (maybe) - Talk about anything

I think sadly there is just too many clubs in that pocket from Elgar Road all the way down to Eastlink. I can count nearly 15 clubs including stand-alone junior clubs, schools with VAFA links all interconnected and taking from the same player pool. That same player pool that includes kids that...

    SEASON 2025

If I’m Belgrave it would be a no brainer to be playing these clubs and your local rival. Hypothetically if Pakenham leave then Belgrave are the odd ones out in Div 1. All the other clubs are an hour plus away from them except Seville who are every chance to be promoted next year.
  29. B

    SEASON 2025

an interesting topic over on Valley Vicious Facebook about vets footy. From what I’ve heard and seen on socials four clubs have serious interest and numbers to get a team up. Mt Evelyn, Gembrook, Belgrave and Yarra Glen. Word from League HQ is they only need four teams minimum for a...
