Roast Call Out Thread - The Squibs.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of "flying the flag" by the crows. The incident between Johncock and Cornes in our forward pocket highlighted this again for me. Tippett was right there and didn't even enter into the conversation between the two. Not calling Tippett a squib...

    Season defining game.

I was watching Sunrise yesterdat morning when I seen on the news ticker on the bottom of the screen; "Bryce Gibbs out for 2 to 3 weeks" I thought they would definetely struggle without him. Wasn't until I seen the whole thing that I found out that it was about an NRL player.

Rowdy is Back!! Is this the last time

Welcome back Trent! Been waiting for this day since he went out earlier in the year. I think he should be played either on Franklin or as the third tall in the backline. Just scoring his four goals from running from defence. C'mon Potential!!!!

JR - We wont lose him (Tippett)

40,000 plus singing the song might make him a little nervous before a big game against probably his best competition so far in Presti. If he kicks a 4+ this week, I think we should give him upwards of $500,000.

JR - We wont lose him (Tippett)

Did anyone hear Fitzy's spot on FiveAA last week. He had a version of Devo's song, Whip It, with the lyrics changed to "Keep Kurt Tippett". I think Crows fans need to make sure he has a massive cult following, similar to the Van Berlo thread from a couple of years back on Bay 13. Maybe we...

Why can't we draw a crowd?

I also agree with this. I went to the St Kilda game, and the people sitting behind me complained all night about having to let people out of the row, during the quarter. At one point I heard the woman say "That's it! I'm not letting anyone else out! I'm sick of it!" If you can't handle a...

Why can't we draw a crowd?

I have been a long time supporter (12-13 years) and have never had my own season ticket, mainly because I don't wish to be on a waiting list. Whenever this issue comes up, and I read that all of these season ticket holders don't turn up, it makes my blood boil. If you can't commit to the season...

    My Little Adelaide Trip

I have been a Crows supporter since 1991, and in one year, 2004 I think, had season tickets for the whole year. We were seated on the outer wing, about 10 rows back from the fence. They were great seats to see the game, but the regulars around the seats were what ruined the experience. No...

Two great players near 300 games. Who has been better?

Crawford won his brownlow when he was a shining light in an average midfield. Mcleod has always played in the same side as Ricciuto, Goodwin and Edwards, each probably taking votes off of one another. Besides, the brownlow is based on the fairest and most brilliant, so then perhaps their...

Danny Frawley. Not that he's got personality!

    Foxtel Commentary

This is my problem with Chris Judd. A fantastic player, but just about every commentator loses it whenever he looks like getting the ball. Judd can do exactly the same as another player, but it is exceptional because he done it. Wait for the responses, but I think he is over rated. Purely...

    Ken McGregor - The Facts.

I seem to remember you posting last year that Ricciuto shouldn't be in the side because he wasn't performing. Ricciuto is a club legend and at the time, captain of the club. If you can't find room for Ricciuto, how can you now justify a position for McGregor. Do you rate McGregor above Ricciuto?

    Well done

Under reconsideration, we don't need a player like him. But I still think he got the penalty he deserved. After reading the comments on this topic, I get the impression that people would have rathered he get suspended than us winning the game.

    Well done

I think the Crows could do with a player like Thomas. I'm glad he didn't get games for it. Unfortunate accident in a good, hard game of footy. Besides, Adelaide got the best rewards. Didn't we kick a goal from the down-the-ground free? In a game we won by 6 points.

    Playing "Unsociable" or "Mongrel" Footy

I don't condone king hits, but who amongst us wouldn't love to see Rutten iron out that thug, Brogan. Whilst he had the ball, of course!

    Treadrea and Lloyd

You said universally admired, not loved. I think everyone admired they way he played the game, and at the height of his career, every supporter would have wanted him at his club. Mind you, I would have had Tredrea 3 to 4 years ago, but lately all of the painkillers have affected his grey...

    Roo versus Brisbane

Roo is probably our greatest ever player and it is for this reason that he must play the last home game in his final season. The supporters that say emotion should be taken out of the decision, are part of the reason why our club is called a franchise. If we wish to build a strong tradition...

    Eastern suburbs > Northern suburbs

Have a workmate who plays for Tea Tree Gully and he says that Salisbury West have a bad reputation. Isn't Fabian Francis player coach for their A side?

    Eastern suburbs > Northern suburbs

I grew up in the Northern suburbs (Salisbury, Elizabeth) and have lived in other areas, including Eastern and Western Suburbs. I get hassled for cigarettes (don't even smoke) more in the city (Rundle Street) and The Parade when out with friends than I ever have in the Northern suburbs. I...

Mark Ricciuto Shouldn't Leave the Square

Can't quite get the quote thing to work, but I agree with Kickin Goals. Ricciuto is one of the best kicks in our team, either in field kicking or for goal, and is another reason why he should stay in the team.

Mark Ricciuto Shouldn't Leave the Square

So if Ricciuto is dropped for Douglas, and Douglas plays a serviceable game, but Ricciuto kicks 10, do we then drop Douglas again to replace him with Ricciuto? I don't think that would do wonders for the confidence of Richard Douglas. Better Douglas come into the side for someone that is on...

Mark Ricciuto Shouldn't Leave the Square

Hi, I'm a long time reader but first time poster. After reading this I felt compelled to comment. Mark Ricciuto is arguably the club's greatest player and if anyone deserves any allowances, Ricciuto does. If Ricciuto goes back to West Adelaide and kicks 10 from full forward does that mean...
