Yeah agree Dean looks like third tall defender. Not sure he has the speed/athleticism for that role though. 2 games in but need to see both dean and AJ playing the third tall role at either end before a line goes through them.

I agree with this chat in that one of Naicos's great strengths is his incisive short ball use ... changing angles and seeing play unfold much more quickly than most players do. Max Holmes looks pretty much like a young dangerfield without the marking strength from what I have seen of him. A high ceiling for sure. I doubt we could shake him loose, especially if he has a big year

yeah agreed. These players become super valuable in the finals when 2-3 goals can be a match-winning display. See McStay, who by my reckoning is a great competitor in the air but would rank as maybe slightly above average overall. He is no Larkey, King or Tom Lynch. Yet McStay's contributions...

Did not realise they had re-signed him for longer. I am yet to see anything outstanding from him, though I did not watch all VFL matches last season. I was hoping to see one outstanding trait at least: pace, sticky hands, superior disposal, etc, but he just seems to be OK at everything to me...
