What a farce, I've now got my account locked and have to ring customer support. Got impatient waiting for the email with a new password - it's 2014 last time I looked, surely emails like that should come quicker than 5 minutes!!
Somehow as much as Freo need a big forward to replace Pav, I can't see them willing to trade Fyfe.
Plus, Fyfe has to agree to move and with him coming from a small town in WA I don't think that he would be keen to move, especially now that Freo have had a taste of a GF and may well win it next...
What's the atmosphere going to be like at the JD Medal tomorrow night if there is no news tomorrow?
Dusty is going to poll well, but there could uncomfortable moments when his name keeps getting read out and this whole saga is unresolved.
Now, now, we don't want to go about ruining a good thing - Adelaide have kindly taken Tambling and Graham off us and given us Maric and a couple of picks over the last 2 years. We only want quality for our duds.:D
Geez, the AFL's stand-alone headline opening game of the season is starting to look ordinary.
Adel Vs Ess - both clubs have had to go to the AFL to explain questionable actions:cool:
Mackey is not a bad comparison, but he looks like he has a frame that will develop to a good size. Looks like a good decision maker and has great endurance - in the top 3% at the combine.
Yeah, big Tiger's fan as is his dad apparently. They'll be going off in the McBean household:D
Shows great mobility for such a big guy and takes his marks at the highest point which would make him difficult to spoil. Handy shot for goal too.
We are pretty harsh judges here, would rather hang onto to Dave than Post - thought he performed pretty well when thrown into the deep end in his first year, has good skills and can take a mark. So much so, the club anointed him with Richo's number after that first season - I think they've got a...
Hmmm, Saints seem to be struggling to get a backman and ruckman so far - after such successful dips at our former players (Fiora, Pattison, Polo), surely they'll be inquiring about Angus and Post before the end of next week :D
We've filled 2 needs without costing ourselves anything, I get the feeling that unless pick 9 becomes a bargaining chip for another trade we will keep that - I can't see GWS trading 12 & 13 for 9, but I hope they can shift Angus and Post for picks under 40 (which seems to be the goal).
The PSD...
I've just watched the Tiger Trade Central: week 2 video on the richmondfc site with Craig Cameron talking about the whole process for these couple of weeks, from the players we have targeted over the last couple of years to the current trade period - basically said that they have gone into this...
I read somewhere that he's had a chat with Hinkley, or going to, so I guess we should know either way before too long.
There seems to be enough positive feedback about Ben that I'm happy for the club to be making a play for him - at least the Thomas, Rodan & Surjan talk has disappeared.
The proposed deal is pick 9 not 13 - in that scenario we drop 13 places to pick 22. Plus, Parker was the sub and only played the last qtr in the GF - now if you were to throw Hannerbery in the mix we might be interested;)
One of the best things about Chaplin coming in is that Grimes should only be required to take the third best forward and may be more damaging on the rebound along with Rance. People wondering about the length of contract should take into account our next 4 years should be building towards...
Gideon and another PNG player were part of a scholarship program with the Tiges last year I believe and he spent some time with Coburg this season, so it is not like we are signing an unknown player.
I reckon he'll settle in well now that he is on the list and hopefully can takes some big...
I wouldn't mind trying someone like Currie - would be cheap and wouldn't be expecting the main rucking gig. Only problem is he is available to anyone in the Draft or PSD if he nominates.
Doesn't matter how long the FA period is, Port's 72 hrs to reply run out by the end of today and it seems like they are going to drag it out to the end.
They've basically got 3 hrs to let us know.
Almost an ideal scenario - previously listed ruck who has a big year in the state leagues and wouldn't be expected to come into the side to be the dominant ruckman, but would be rapt to get back onto a list and work hard to become a permanent ruck option.
Handy that he's mobile and has good...
I think he did in that 1st NAB cup game he played - took some strong marks too, but then had an injury plagued year. I think he still needs some work on his technique in the ruck - maybe that's why they have tried him around the ground.
Maybe that's why Derickx has survived at the moment - he has seemingly been tried all over the park at Coburg. He still may be seen as that roaming ruck that can go all over the ground - bit like the way the Swans have used Pyke to pretty good effect the 2nd half of this year.
You'd like to...
To be honest I can't understand why GWS aren't prepared to throw good money Giles' way - proved he could kick a long goal and had a decent year. Unless they have someone else in the wings - maybe Blake/Seaby who they could probably pay even less than what they are offering Giles.
As much as I would be happy with Giles coming to us, just can't see it happening with Maric as the No.1 and Vickory as Forward/Ruck.
North tried it with McIntosh and Goldstein and it didn't work, same at the Bombers with Bellchambers and Hille and also for that matter at Freo with...
Blair was recruited from Port Adelaide with the sole intention of targeting other clubs lists for fringe players that weren't getting regular games - Houli, Grigg, Maric - and to prepare us for the introduction of Free Agency.
It should come as no surprise that we were generating a lot of...
