  1. Knight Ryders

    AFL Player #35: Matt Guelfi - Out for <insert weeks> with a calf strain - 18/3

We need Redman's class once he is fit, not enough good ball users in our team
  2. Knight Ryders

    AFL Player #35: Matt Guelfi - Out for <insert weeks> with a calf strain - 18/3

I thought he was well off the pace in the 1st half but was fantastic in the 2nd half. Not that we play a tagger or run with player, but I see that as something he could excel at. May be that will be the next evolution of the Guelf
  3. Knight Ryders

AFL Player # 3: Darcy Parish

Not giving Darcy midfield minutes has been so frustrating from the cheap seats. He can be a bit untidy, but he is one of our rare natural midfielders and it can be seen with the way he hunts the ball. I'll spew if he ends up in the forward pocket again next week

    Prediction 2019 Ladder Predictions + 2020 Ladder early Predictions ( Page 115+ )

I could see the top 4 looking like this, which would have Melbourne a buzz. In saying that, I think Eagles and the Crows will be thereabout also. Crows will come steaming back into contention 1. Collingwood 2. Melbourne 3. Richmond 4. Essendon ------ 5. Crows 6. Eagles 7. Hawks 8. North ------...
  5. Knight Ryders

AFL Player # 9: Dylan Shiel

Elite breakaway speed from clearances, I'm excited

Recruiting Trade & Free Agency VI

Lucky for Shane Gould that Dodoro was not on Survivor. She would not have stood a chance
  7. Knight Ryders

AFL Autopsy Round 16 08/07/2018: 16 Point loss to Collingwood

Disagree actually. Thought we tackled well, but Collingwood tackled better. They got their hands free more and they trapped our space better than we did. We weren't allowed to run forward much today
  8. Knight Ryders

Are the Eagles still the biggest flat track bullies?

Eagles are developing young Margetts well. Player of the future
  9. Knight Ryders

Retired #11: David Zaharakis - Survivin'

In the form of his life, running hard and getting on the end of plenty of ball. Love how he lowers his eyes going into forward 50
  10. Knight Ryders

    Retired # 2: Tom Bellchambers - Knocks Cam Mooney the **** out - 24/5

18 hit outs to advantage, ducking enormous!
  11. Knight Ryders

Retired #9: Brendon Goddard - Retires a winner - Thanks for everything BJ

As physical game as I've seen him play for Essendon. Answered the critics beautifully

Coaching Staff Senior Coach: John Worsfold - Thank you John

Corrigan the one next to him yesterday... but not sure? Anyone confirm? i like this angry bastard though, * em all

AFL Toast Round 9: 34 Point win against the Pussies

Anyone else pick up that the comradrie and excitement after goals seem to come mostly from the young guys? The older still didnt seem to get that into it... I think Heppell understated demeanor doesn't work for him in this area and needs to even fake it if he has too. After Hepp kicked the...
  14. Knight Ryders

Delisted #37: Dylan Clarke - End of the road, will not be offered a list spot in 2022

As the game went on, he started to pick up the pace of the game. I hope he gets another chance this week because I think we will see a huge improvement
  15. Knight Ryders

AFL Player # 3: Darcy Parish

I see him as the heir apparent to Zaha. Cousins was a phenomenon, rarely anyone can run like that and still be good at footy. You need to have 8-9 capable midfielders these days to be a premiership threat so hes required, just needs to get over this hiccup. Tbh, I feel sorry for him being...

AFL Player #27: Mason Redman 🐕

    The Andy Bichel phenomenon
  17. Knight Ryders

Coaching Staff Senior Coach: John Worsfold - Thank you John

I didn't think he was all that convincing in his answers but I did like, actually really liked the tone. This is what I want right at this time, Us vs Them, * you all type of attitude. Media coming after us (again) might be the catalyst to have something to bond with.
  18. Knight Ryders

Lets try and bring back some positives to try and get a smile back on our faces

We are 1 game closer to a win!
  19. Knight Ryders

AFL Player # 3: Darcy Parish

Play him on Selwood this week, tagging job. Week after, play on Coniglio. Week after that, play on Cotchin. Week after that, job on Zorko awaits. You get the gist. Side note, this kids absolutely hunts the ball. It was his most impressive feature in 2016 when he played predominantly midfield...
  20. Knight Ryders

Coaching Staff Senior Coach: John Worsfold - Thank you John

We need a Sheedy MkII, somebody to come in and turn the nice boys into mongrels again. No more accepting mediocrity
  21. Knight Ryders

Retired #18: Michael Hurley 🐻 - Staying on in a coaching and player welfare role! - 3/10

Always starts the season a bit slow - I think he needs a few games to get some touch back. Still, pretty ******* good game considering he wasn't at his best
  22. Knight Ryders

    AFL 2018 - R1 - Essendon v Adelaide, 7.10pm, Etihad Stadium

Rory Laird is an amazing player - teams need to put some work into him. Heppell also looks back to him pre 2016 form, was a running machine last night and back to his clean handling ways. Happy for the W, but both teams need to improve significantly. Crows obviously ran out of puff with less...

    How many weeks for Douglas?

This. Really, main contact to body and the left arm glanced the head. This will be very interesting to see how it plays out
  24. Knight Ryders

Delisted #17: James Stewart - Will be delisted despite having a year on his contract - 24/8

Adding the 000's right now! Great game from Jimmy, such a versatile forward with that size and mobility. Because he and JD are so mobile, it allows us to play 3 tall forwards - this is what the media neglect to mention.
  25. Knight Ryders

MVP Round 1 - Essendon vs Adelaide

    5. Dyson 4. David 3. Brendon 2. Jimmy 1. Cale Lots of honorables but was stoked with Langford's improvement and the fact he got an opportunity. Also, Bellchambers played well on one if not the best ruckman in the comp which gave our midfielders a chance to win their own ball.
  26. Knight Ryders

Recruiting Trade & Free Agency V

I really rate Devon Smith, he could be a fantastic addition to our forward and midfield mix. My only concern is that McGrath, Zerrett, Zaka and Devon are all smallish. However, what running power particularly when you chuck in our half back line.
