News Swans Talk in the Media 2019

Freakishly superior athlete is not what you said originally, you said 'freakish talents who are allowed to freestyle their way through their careers' - I don't think its a hard argument to make that Stevie J had freakish talents as a smart and skilful footballer that allowed him to freestyle...

Wouldn't Stevie J fall into this category yet he is in our coaching group??

News Swans Talk In The Media 2018

Mate not going to deny you seem obsessed with Tommy and I just wish you had some more positive observations to make, if you were balanced 50/50 positive/negative you'd be the best poster on the board. I will say however, you always put your point of view across and don't think you've used...

News Swans Talk In The Media 2018

Its a shame you're not consistent and take the same hostile attitude towards posters who are continuously negative and never see anything right or good, except their love of Tommy Mitchell - your sniping is personal and not warranted to someone who actually tries to present their personal view...

List Mgmt. The 2018 Draft & Trade Hypotheticals Thread

There is no disputing that he deserves an increase and as you say he may expect a big pay day, but the reality is that the offer he receives will be relative to the club's overall list management and salary cap strategy.

News Swans Talk In The Media 2018

I disagree, I totally see Buddy being another Stevie J and being able to step out of the game straight into an assistants role … couldn't think of a better mentor for young McCartin.

Autopsy Swans vs Freo Rd 9 2018

Perhaps heed your own advice? Unfortunately for your good self, players not performing to your perception as to how they should have performed is no basis or reason for them to be retired or traded from the club. Not to mention that I come to the Autopsy thread to discuss the game not to get...

Autopsy Swans vs Freo Rd 9 2018

People wrote off McVeigh as 'cooked' last year when he was returning from injury, yet he has been one of our best and moost consistent performers this year.

Autopsy Swans vs Freo Rd 9 2018

I really should know better but it amazes me that we can't even saviour a win through a real team effort for a few days without posters wanting to retire champs of the club returning from injury and or talk about trading Reid. Honestly, if only we could retire and/or trade posters from this...

Past Kurt Tippett - retired 2018

Surely a negotiated contractual outcome is a much better outcome for the club than him playing in the NEAFL or just sitting injured on the sidelines earning his full salary?

Actually no, only batting posts should be on the cricket thread

Past Matthew Ling - delisted 2021

Turn it up yourself actually, your relentless negative pursuit of this poster is actually quite boring. At least he is trying to add a voice to the board which is what this forum is supposed to be about, if you don't like what he has to say just put him on ignore rather than filling the thread...

List Mgmt. The 2017 Draft & Trade Hypotheticals Thread (cont. in Part II)

This is slightly misleading because there is a distinct difference. I don't think simplistically you can say there is no difference to selecting a draftee as selecting a DFA. This years draftees are in the vast majority are untried at 'AFL level' and haven't been within an AFL club system for...

    Academy v Father-Sons

Considering that 3 assistant coaches have left since seasons end I'd suggest that its very secure.

You would better off writing to Eddie Maguire he's the one who pulls the AFL's strings

Seriously you should make yourself a blue 'make north great again' hat, take this endless tantrum to twitter and run for your clubs presidency ...

Rumour North Melbourne FC in disarray?

All the dick-swinging BS that's been thrown around in this thread aside, the one point that has been overlooked is that with the plethora of top draft VIC talent that has had 'homesickness' and desperately needed to get back home in recent years North has not managed to be able convince/coerce...

    Redo the 2009 draft.

  22. YorshireSwan

    Academy v Father-Sons

Let's not kid ourselves about the fundamental truth ... North is only in existence today because of special funding it receives from AFL, funding which its only able to provide because of the enormous television income it receives. So what your really saying is that North only exists because of...

You two were two of the leading protagonists of the McVeigh is 'cooked' campaign, how times have now changed.
  24. YorshireSwan

Past Kurt Tippett - retired 2018

There was overwhelming concensus on this board at the beggining of this year that the same theory applied to McVeigh in relation to his age and body yet he played a critical role in turing around our season from 0-6 and making finals. Lets not 'put him down' just yet .... So many posters on...

List Mgmt. The 2017 Draft & Trade Hypotheticals Thread (cont. in Part II)

Call me a sceptic but I disagree, personnally I think the increase in claims of 'homesickness' is an unforeseen consequence of the introduction of free agency. Clubs have seen how the systems works in their favour when a player 'nominates' their club of choice. I totally understand that their...

Coaching Staff Coaching Staff Changes - 2018

I get what you are saying, however there is also no guarantee that restructuring our set-ups and/or game style to what people think would be a 'functioning' forward line will in fact mean that that forwardline will function to expectation. Its really really easy to singularly focus on one...

Coaching Staff Steve Johnson Joins as Assistant Coach

Like who, who's available? Your back to 'bring in new ideas' your continued gripe against Horse. Also for someone...

This is a ridiculous statement mate, we were the 6th best scoring team this year so you can't say we don't play attacking football. We scored more points then the premiers!
