Past #26: Tarryn Thomas [Part III] - 18 week suspension confirmed; ineligible to play in '24 season; NMFC has officially sacked Tarryn.

If he gets picked up by another club ( probably the Aints) I will Terry Wallace dead set spew up

Past #26: Tarryn Thomas [Part II] - will honor his contract and play on at NMFC in 2024, so says the reality TV manager

It’s not that hard. I watch them at training every week on tv.🤣

Past #26: Tarryn Thomas [Part II] - will honor his contract and play on at NMFC in 2024, so says the reality TV manager

We have to get him on a long term contract with ‘behavioral conditions’. He’s a gun. His form and attitude since returning has been outstanding. If we were to trade him it has to be multiple first rounders.

Past #23: Kieran Harper - delisted by the club (29/10) - will miss '16 VAFA season, surgery on ankle

I remember that last goal against the Tiges for being one of the most uninspiring pieces of commentary I’ve ever heard.

    Past #36: Phoenix Spicer - drafted w/ #42 in 2020 ND - delisted end '23 - 12 NM games / 2 NM goals

Spicer has to be gone. The small forward role requires speed and goal sense and Spicer only has speed. This isn’t a position that requires 3yrs of development. A good player in this position should be able to walk straight into our team. For all our key position requirements it’s probably worth...

Past #26: Tarryn Thomas [Part II] - will honor his contract and play on at NMFC in 2024, so says the reality TV manager

Why would you even continue to have an Insta account. Brain dead. Not streetwise at all.
  7. glenn2479

Past #3: Jed Anderson - delisted end '22 - 89 NMFC games - go well Jed

Jed is without question good enough to keep a spot on our list. His pros far outweigh his cons and his hardness at the man and the contest is one of the best teaching tools you can have. If they can’t find another year for him there’s something else at play here.
  8. glenn2479

Past #6: Jason Horne-Francis - NM have been informed by JHF's management that he will seek a trade to SA [contracted for 2023]

I wonder if he’ll keep an eye on how Rankine goes at Adelaide on the big bucks and high pressure. Might just be enough to put him off the idea of returning altogether.

Past #3: Jed Anderson - delisted end '22 - 89 NMFC games - go well Jed

I really like Jed as a player but those crash and bash players are easy to like. I thought he still offered plenty but maybe it’s just a case of having to raise my standards.

Past #18: Wayne Carey - The king. The best there ever was.

How good would it be being our forward coach in the 90’s? What’s the plan?- Carey one out inside 50 What about the other 5 forwards?- Um, anywhere not inside 50. Brilliant.

Past #26: Tarryn Thomas - Roo until end '24

Be just like us to buy high and sell low. It would want to be an incredible offer to get him out of Nth.
  12. glenn2479

Past #26: Tarryn Thomas - Roo until end '24

Can’t we just drop him with a ‘things to work on line’? Why do we have to role out a ‘earn back the trust of his teammates line’? Doesn’t anyone read the room at this club? Keep all your tough love stuff internal and out of the media.

    Past #28: Kayne Turner - pick #25 in '14 RD - delisted end '22 - re-listed w/ #39 in '22 RD - delisted end "23 - 111gm/58gl - thx Kayno

I guess the back half of this year will be Turner’s farewell tour. Hopefully it’s not a John Farnham style retirement.

    Past #28: Kayne Turner - pick #25 in '14 RD - delisted end '22 - re-listed w/ #39 in '22 RD - delisted end "23 - 111gm/58gl - thx Kayno

I’m not sure why they don’t just play Kayne in the reserves every week. At least he brings effort but every game put into him is a game lost on one of the newer brigade. Playing Kayne every week has a real feeling of ‘now’ when all the messaging is about the ‘future’ .

We let Dumont go and Turner stay. List management should have been dismissed right there.

    Past #1: Jack Mahony - drafted w #34 in '17 ND - delisted end '23 - 40 NM games/17 NM goals - thx Mahns

There is no role he can play at this level. He has no attributes that will help this team. He and a few other honest triers aka shitmen should be delisted as soon as humanly possible.
  17. glenn2479

Past #6: Jason Horne-Francis - NM have been informed by JHF's management that he will seek a trade to SA [contracted for 2023]

Just watched his interview. My main take away was he looks like a young James Hetfield.

    Past #1: Jack Mahony - drafted w #34 in '17 ND - delisted end '23 - 40 NM games/17 NM goals - thx Mahns

Unfortunately for Jack he needs to become a victim if this team is to go anywhere. The Atley and JMac days should be behind us. Mahony has no elite athletic talent and no elite footballing talent and we don’t have a role for him in our team. Take Turner with ya as well.

Past #17: Lachie Young - NM trade #63 for LY in '20 trade period - delisted end '23 - 39 NM games / 1 NM goal - thanks Lachie

Thought he was alright today. Much worse out there today.

Past #6: Jason Horne-Francis - NM have been informed by JHF's management that he will seek a trade to SA [contracted for 2023]

Great debut JHF. Sorry about those other spuds you have to play with.😢

    Past #4: Shaun Higgins - Higgo traded to Geelong for 2020 #30 - 2x Syds/108 NM gms/96 NM gls - thx Higgo

Higgins value to us is probably greater than we could get in any deal. So why do a deal? He has the two things that we lack across the board- pace and skills.
  22. glenn2479

    Past #50: Ben Brown - Traded to Melbourne with 2020 #28 + 2021 R4 for 2020 #26 #33 + 2021 R4(Bris) - 130 gms / 287 gls - thanks Ben

If the decision is made not to contract Ben then fair enough. The question I would ask is do you get a better return by going public and effectively auctioning him off to the highest bidder or do you get a better return by playing your cards close to your chest and having interested clubs work...

    Past #50: Ben Brown - Traded to Melbourne with 2020 #28 + 2021 R4 for 2020 #26 #33 + 2021 R4(Bris) - 130 gms / 287 gls - thanks Ben

If Brown is going it had better be a first round pick at minimum. When we return to Docklands next year he will be back to 60+ goals a year. Being in QLD has been horrible for his game.
  24. glenn2479

    Past #4: Shaun Higgins - Higgo traded to Geelong for 2020 #30 - 2x Syds/108 NM gms/96 NM gls - thx Higgo

Higgo is a gun. After Jy got hurt Saturday night he was a one man midfield. Sure he’s not great defensively but he would almost never get beaten head to head. I’m happy to cut him some slack on this front.
  25. glenn2479

Past #43: Aaron Hall - Shinboner #1013 retires after 58 NM games - Thanks Aaron

There’s more than a football game going on in his head. He shouldn’t play anymore for his own health.
  26. glenn2479

Past #16: Aiden Bonar - drafted by GWS #11 '17 ND - traded to NM end '19 - 25 NM games - thx Bon

Given our penchant for GWS 1st round picks who’ve done an ACL I’m surprised we didn’t pick up Patton as well.
  27. glenn2479

Past #15: Paul Ahern - delisted after 24 NM games/6 NM goals - thanks Pauly

He plays for Melbourne now. Time at the snow is compulsory.
