    Helmet or not helmet?

I never used to wear a helmet, however I was living in Canada a couple of years ago and saw an ice hockey player try to stop the puck with his own stick and it flew up and hit him in the eye, it pretty much ended his career. So from now on I'm wearing a helmet, it's just not worth losing a...

COMM BANK SERIES G2: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, ADELAIDE OVAL (SUNDAY/NIGHT)

One thing is for sure, the best XI will be picked for game 3... too many people trying to justify their jobs at CA right now coaches, sports scientists and selectors. These sports scientists don't seem to be doing a job at all just saying rest players or they'll get injured, Shouldn't their...

    Ed Cowan

I'm fine with picking whoever makes runs in 1 round to goto India out of the 3-4 options, I wouldn't be picking Hussey though, we have got rid of pretty much all the 30+ year olds time for someone younger.

Sheild form up until now means jack considering theres been none for 6weeks or more, what matters is who makes sheild runs when it kicks off again.

    Ed Cowan

I thought his average opening would have been around that. There was just something that I didn't like about his technique while opening and knew it wasn't a long term solution. I don't think he is best 11 if he isn't an allrounder anyway, and general consensus is if he bowls he can't open.

I really hope Watson isn't the answer opening if he decides not to bowl anymore... He never looked comfortable batting there even if he did make a few runs.

    Ed Cowan

If the VC gives up bowling he's nowhere near an automatic selection. Well atleast he shouldn't be. I reckon he should be giving up the weights before bowling anyway. On Cowan, he is just a gap filler, if he makes a few low scores in India, while someone at home makes runs towards the end of...

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

I've never understood the argument that appealing is cheating, appealing as far as i'm concerned is the bowling teams way of asking the umpire if the batsmen is out... Then its down to the umpire to make a decision on the appeal, so how can the bowling team be cheating?

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

it shouldnt be used on LBW's unless the batsmen thinks he's edged it or the bowling team thinks its pad first,,, using hawkeye for LBW's is where the whole system goes up shit creek...

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

1 thing is for sure no matter who keeps in the Ashes, if Siddle gets a long term injury we are SCREWED!!

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

a catch that goes straight to you when you are standing 15metres behind the stumps has to be easier to catch than getting a stumping like that..

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

you must of missed some of those edges that went straight to haddin that got grounded then..

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

i reckon theres atleast half a dozen catches Haddin dropped of fast-mediums that are 10 times worse than that missed stumping from wade..

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

Did I just see Starc bowling around the wicket with 3 slips and a gully to a new batsmen? wonder how many slips he would have bowling over the wicket?? 7?

1st TEST: AUSTRALIA vs SRI LANKA, BELLERIVE OVAL (aka THE BOOT), FRI-TUE

Clarke should be telling him to bowl over the wicket, I don't think I've ever seen a left armer start around with 1 slip in the first hour of play ever.

Boxing Day Test: Australia v India @ MCG (Mon - Fri)

they aren't appealing because they think its out. They are just appealing. I've counted atleast 5 times today they've appealed for a caught behind and the ball hasn't even hit the pad or body let alone glove or bat, plus atleast another 2 lbw's where the ball was going nowhere near the stumps...

Where Australian Cricket all started going wrong.

When Warne and McGrath started bowling for days on end and taking hundreds and hundreds of wickets. which in turn made the ACB complacent so late 90's early 2000's. since then now they've selected 18players to debut starting with Shaun Tait in the 2005 ashes who have played less than 10...
