Even if he plays badly he creates opportunities for other forwards, he gets the best defender plus guys dropping back to cover him. Same with Rocca for Collingwood, if he plays like a dog he is still important because the opposition is always trying to cover...
Pies did it with Buckley but he is no longer our key number one player, we were simply trying to extend an old guys career (could say it didnt work as well). Am not sure if Collingwood would have rested him last year if finals were 50/50 chance. Hall is your #1 key player & will win or lose...
