I think it depends on where you live and who you follow. He grew up at the bombers and was part of their last powerhouse side. He moved to Port and helped add something extra to an already good side that couldn't get the job done in December.
Actually, he did play 75% of his footy at Essendon...
Incomparable because their roles are different. Heppell is clearly the more consistent of the two with dips in output only ever occurring when there has been enough injuries to ensure he was tagged.
Does Cunngington ever get tagged?

Absolutely 100% disagree with that. Fletcher was a better and more important player to Essendon than Hird was. In fact in the post Daniher and Madden era Fletch has been the greatest player at Essendon. Wanganeen and Long would have been next, if not for leaving and injury respectively, then...
People take ratings too much like gospel.
I know Carlton's mids are rated higher, but I think next year that could change. I still expect that Simpson, Judd, Murphy and Scotland will be far more damaging on the outside than Essendon will be .... but ....
I expect Watson, Myers, Hocking...
For what it's worth I don't think anyone can seriously judge this one. Essendon had the wood on Carlton for a few years winning every game against them under Knights, until he'd lost the players in the final days of his tenure. It was amusing for an Essendon supporter because Carlton had the...
Dude!! Watson has been a star around the packs for many years now. The reason for this is because of how good his decisions are under pressure.
He dominates games now in the manner of Hird, Buckley and Voss did in the their day.
I think you'll find that Jetta gets far more involved in the contest than Garlett does. This would be the basis of why he was rated so much higher as an 18 year old.
You can't definitively say that about the bombers yet. You can about the roos.
Regards the actual poll I voted yes, but I want to put a few disclaimers on that. Hawthorn supporters have been claiming they've been doing that for a while now and Brisbane supporters claimed they attempted it...
Can I have my vote back? I thought it was Joel Selwood!!!
I was also considering doing my best impersonation of The General and voting for Myers!!
Early on I'd have said Kruezer, last year it was Cotchin, now it would be a coin toss between Dangerfield and Cotchin and I think at the end...
I'm not going to vote because it is actually a complicated question due to the vagaries of what the selectors what for team balance. Will they pick a genuine number 1 ruck or will the pick players who share the role? I'm guessing one of each. In that case first ruck will be out of Maric and...
Collingwood. Also think the voting has ended up giving a fair set of odds!!
EDIT: Except for Adelaide. They still have more than 3% chance. Equal with Essendon I'd say.
