Preview 2024 Mid Season Draft Prospects & Discussion

Go and watch Tom Hawkins, King Bros, Larkey in their first 15 games up forward. Give the guy a break. Agree I prefer him back but you can’t say he won’t be an A grader up forward. Josh Bruce kicked 50 goals in a season twice. Josh Jenkins also says hi, as does 2 Metre Peter.

    Preview ROUND 10: Lions v Tigers, Gabba, May 18 2024 7:30pm AEST

Pretty much what I would do, I would like to see Rayner as the third tall, Wilmot to wing. Outs: Prior and Morris Ins: Answerth and Brain Reville to Sub.

    Preview ROUND 10: Lions v Tigers, Gabba, May 18 2024 7:30pm AEST

I would like to see Brain get a full game against a struggling Tigers side. That may not happen unless Wilmot moves to the wing. I have been hoping for a Wilmot move to the wing for a while now but so far it has not happened You would think Dev would need at least 1 VFL game to be considered...

Because the criticism of him after just a couple of poor to average games is so far above reasonable its absurd and at this point is just sinking the boots in. There was heck all admiration for him to fight his way back from injury last year and have an incredibly good contribution to the club...

    News 2024 St.Kilda Media Thread

Tend to half agree, but I do think half the problem is his body size. He is insanely tall, but he is built like a basketballer. People with these types of bodies do not fill out until they are close to 30. That is exactly why you wait until a ruckman is closer to 30 before you even consider...

...with the same number of limbs would have kicked the same, or better...even with our s*it disposal. He is presently tracking worse than Josh Bruce as a Full Forward...with less forward craft. Higgins has been arguably better and more consistent and I think has topped our goal kicking just as...

...retire and needed a tall to take over that spot. Essentially they were where we are now with Lynch but they also had a few more years and Josh Bruce. Just looked at their list and it is real easy to see why they picked McCartin over Petracca. Then look at their list again in 2017 and they...

    Preview Changes for GWS

TBH, had Toby Greene played in Canberra last year, they'd have beaten us twice. He was the match winner in Ballarat. The point I'm making is you're saying we could have beaten them twice last year, but the argument can very easily be made both ways.

    Preview Changes for GWS

...Ballarat, we lost Alex Keath to concussion early, but were still up by 5 goals in the third quarter, before Jake Riccardi decided to end Josh Bruce's career, leaving us two defenders short, and they came back to win it by 5. Just a awful day all round...

Autopsy GWS v Bulldogs - AFL Rd 10, 2024 -SATURDAY MAY 18TH 4:35PM (ENGIE Stadium)

The game last year GWS came back to win after they decided to end Josh Bruce's career, leaving us two defenders short. Hopefully it's a bit cleaner this time around. But knowing Dogs-GWS games..

Banter Geelong V Richmond - GO!

Double figures. I mean even Josh Bruce could manage it. Hence why I believe Hawkins peak is 2nd maybe even 3rd tier with McKay. All he’s got going for him is longevity and some Ruckwork.

What do you want out of season 24?

I'm a bit taken with Brain. Just has that bit of mongrel but still plenty of poise , and the confidence to back himself. It never pays to get carried away with untried players but he could end up being good. I'm hoping but I guess a bit much to ask for this year. I really like the determined...

What do you want out of season 24?

We can still win the whole damn thing IMO, coming up to the halfway point of the season and there isn't a standout Premiership favourite yet, it's a year where I can see a team out of the top 4 winning it, the pre finals bye is massive for teams 5 to 8 chances, we have 4 players out for the...

    Autopsy Round 9, 2024: Hawthorn v St.Kilda

The 2018-2021 top-up mentality got us into this mess. Trying to incrementally build a team with outsiders, no group of youngsters coming through at the same time pushing each other. We had a team of journeymen. Jacks of all trades (and a lot of Jacks!). We have now built a cohort of young...

    Player Watch #2: Jaidyn Stephenson

It was the mentality of the group back then. To go from getting done by 128 on Good Friday and Josh Bruce kicking 10 to becoming the 'best wooden spoon team' explains how the mentality and character of the group got better as the season went on. We even challenged Melbourne at their absolute...

Preview Adelaide Crows v Brisbane Lions, Round 9, Sunday 12 May 2024 4pm @ Adelaide Oval - The Mother's Day Game

Finished watching the Suns replay. Fletcher looks like he could play anywhere as he fitted in our defense group really well. Berry basically took the Bailey role of forward/midfield. Think he does the same this week. Fagan mentioned Wilmot was to start on the wing until Starcevich went down...
