Bit of a maturity test here for the Dogs. For such a wildly inconsistent team over the last few years, especially without the ball, the defence & pressure has been solid to start the season, but turnovers in traffic are proving costly (should only improve on that, though).
I think the Dogs are...
A lot of umpire bashing, but zero mention of the very obvious Henry holding the ball miss straight in front of Dogs goal, or Schultz getting caught and then blatantly throwing it on the wing.
Strange.
Yeah, I highly doubt that Hawkins and Cameron are worried about the worst KPD combo in the league. Dogs defence is awful.
We’ll challenge anyone if our mids & fwds get half a look, but unfortunately the ball inevitably goes into our defensive 50.
Three games stand out.
2016. Lose Libba & Macrae to injury. Danger gets on top in the 2nd half as a result.
2017. A few really iffy frees, one against Cloke (I think) really swung the momentum.
2021. Cats take it end to end for Gary Rohan to nail one after the siren.
Vaguely recall a few in...
Hodge is like that every game. Either makes captain obvious calls all night or dribbles small lines of nonsense.
He’s horrible in the commentary box.
Another Cameron Ling.
Wian has had a large emotional mare on the main board, sure, but this reply is every bit as juvenile.
Capped off perfectly with the ultimate nuffie content - free kick counts.
Saints have taken it on and played with unbelievable confidence the last few times they’ve played the Dogs and it’s really rattled them both times, so I’m rather surprised we’re the favourites.
If both sides turn up? Probably have to say the Dogs but we’ve been about as reliable as an ashtray...
When you use a free kick count in any argument, it really does confirm absolutely nothing of substance in anything you say.
Stupid theories aside, the umpiring here is appalling, but it is for both sides.
