Big questions.
Will the Crows play Crouch?
Can Fyfe return to the midfield. That's where he's been training and so far so good.
What will Dima's 'imperfect football based more on the contest' do for the Suns fantasy scores.
Yes to McKercher and Xerri.
Duursma I expect to play but not round 1. North just have too many highly rated mids and flankers who will take that half forward spot that needs a big tank to play. And from North supporters sounds like Duursma looks great just needs to put on some size.
Unless...
What about Sparrow or the other inside mids at Melbourne?
More midfield minutes for them gets access to bigger scores. Rivers another who may get more midfield time.
Thats my plan atm. Fair chance Xeri goes up in value and the premium rucks fall.
Use Xeri as a price rising upgrade option as soon as the premium rucks drip in price and then start hitting form.
Well the small SCG will suit him more than bigger grounds.
Currently starting with Grundy and Xeri with a cheap bench ruck, Conway maybe.
The top rucks often take a hit on price early on as players take weeks to build match fitness and get going.
Sweet at Port could be a good cash cow.
So no one can see any opponents team even if they have played and scored or are playing / are scoring live against you?
Different to last season.....not an improvement at all IMO.
Always good to know which players are in the opposition when the game is on. Then you know who is scoring against...
Because you don't get much of the footy when your chasing. Essendon players will be doing a lot of chasing this year.
Duggan will be used as a link player at the Eagles with the likes of Priddis, Redden, Sheed and Naitanui feeding the ball out to him. Duggan can also get the ball himself and...
If you don't have Duggan as a mid / forward your not paying attention. $250k and is having a good preseason after 12 games last season. Did a PCL and sat out the last third of 2015 but is training well.
Can anyone from Norths tell us how Anderson is travelling?
I'd be interested on the thoughts on Crowely at $226k. Sure he's a tagger but he can also get the ball himself.
Will Woosha play a young kid as a tagger to help develop someone else and just play Crowely as a mid to provide a bigger bodied inside presence to protect other developing...
Are you saying S Hill is a better player and more dangerous than Fyfe?
Hill is a soft down hill skier compared to Fyfe.
Which one would you rather have in your side?
I had Fyfe in then was of the thought that out of Freo's midfield who would the opposition put their best tagger on?
Fyfe is seriously good and IMO will pass Mundy and Barlow and get plenty of close attention.
I have written intelligent comments, several actually.
You posted something stupid bagging out an Eagles player which wasn't on topic, I replied explaining why I rated him as a DT player.
Then you keep up with more posts stoking your own ego.
As I said previously, why don't YOU add...
Well how about YOU showing us something instead.
Make a case for a couple of Suns players and don't lead discussions elsewhere with silly statements about Eagles players.
He's relatively cheap and most likely used across half back as a designated link player bringing the ball out of defense through the midfield. He's one of the smartest players and best kicks at the Eagles. If a switch across half back occurs the Eagles will either want him kicking it or...
Due to the bye situation this year I made sure I didn't have as many Eagles players this year.
The Eagles I picked are Sheppard (back), Butler (mid), Cox (ruck) and Strijk (forward). Cox is super fit as opposed to the past 2 years, Sheppard, Butts and Strijk are well priced and should score...
This years Dream Team is different in quite a few ways. One big change is Gold Coast entering the comp and having to play so many first year players, they will easily have more draftees playing than any other club by far.
So who of the GC's draftees would make good DT players. I have quite...
Agree re Petrie, I have Cox and Petrie as my starting rucks and then Smith and Campbell on the bench as the cheapies who will hopefully play and go up in value.
Really hard to pick the cheapest bench warming rucks who should get a game. I have a fair few Gold Coast players on my benches as...
Not much love for Big Cox on here.:(:p
Last season he wasn't even running at this stage, in 2011 reports have him at the front of the pack leading the running drills. Depending on price and that he stays fit come round 1 I can see Cox being very well priced.
I'm not going to make the...
I'm pretty happy with my backline:
H Shaw, Marty Clarke, C Cornes are the premium.
Followed by Nicoski, Harry Taylor, Raines and Spanger.
Nicoski looks like he's well over his injury from last year and has been getting plenty of it, BOG v Pies. Harry Taylor at the Cats at $260k has...
This is my theory as well.
S Hill at Freo is most likely to play early games, has been very impressive in the NAB cup and practice games and after Freo's success with Palmer last year why wouldn't they play him. Also they turned over almost a third of their list so depth is an issue.
Presti...
I've gone for smokies off the bench, locked in one back and forward under $200k and used some dollars in the ''engine room''!
Mids:
Judd, Gibbs, Cuz, Kerr, J Selwood and Butler : Bench Rich and Sidebottom.
Rucks: Cox and Hille : Bench Jacobs and Pike
I'm interested in opinions on how strong your DT / SC bench is? Do you go with cheaper smokies, throw in a cheaper experienced hand or leave a decent player there so you can rest injured players instead of trading?
For what it's worth I have gone the cheap smokie plan with one old hand?
S...
Update 1567:D
Essendon's Mark McVeigh got caught up in a tackle and has a badly twisted ankle, scans today, ended on crutches with a moon boot.
Gilham at Hawks hyper extended his knee trying to spoil Fev, looked bad but was seen walking the boundry after the game.
Birchell at Hawks did a...
