Seems pretty simple to me this week…
Powell and Rozee out
Bailey Dale and a mid premo around $960k in (Dawson, Gulden, Walsh likely to be the leading candidates)
Powell’s role was shocking yesterday, and can’t be having a 34 from that TOG and for that price.
At Bailey Dale’s price I’m willing...
The below is my team post-trades, had $100k in the bank so was able to go the below leaving absolutely zero left in the bank:
Z Williams > H Garcia
Dempsey > Gulden
The Young news above looks promising, and have enough cash gen in rookies to go 1 up, 1 down over the next few weeks (Howes...
Agonising over that final rookie spot now that Sharp is in the 18.
Coffield and $200k mid (could get a donut to loop Daicos VC, currently have 30 green dots)
OR
Hore and Sharp
Bonner, Z Williams, Coffield +$93k in bank
OR
Short, Howes, Sharp +$37k in bank
Talking onfield here, Howes will be bench in option 1. It’s mainly a decision between Bonner and Sharp, will the extra c.$200k for Bonner be worth it. Or will Sharp be strong enough to utilise the funds elsewhere
Thanks for that, yeah may be going too aggressive at the rookies in the forward line. Adding Fisher to the forward line, moving Naicos to the defence, downgrading Clark to Coffield, and playing with the midfielders looks a lot more balanced. And has $37k left over
As we all know there's a stack of uncertainty in the forward line, so going with the one premo I'm confident in and the rest rookies. Thinking that I would rather take a punt at the $300k price level than the $600k price level (all this may change when none of the rookies are named in Rd 1!)...
HAHA! I will admit my level of bye study hasn't been enough to date, focusing more on the early byes at this point. But an easy swap from Brayshaw to Green (despite early bye) seems a solid move.
I do have Houston and Young in the DEFs at this point too, so now may be the time to think more...
Can you play Rozee and Butters in the same side? Love them both but not sure I can bring myself to have them together.
Rolling with Brayshaw, Rozee, Butters, Walsh, Newcomb, Martin, McKercher, Sanders atm
Steele and Amon have been in my team at different times. And battling with Walsh’s bye...
Ignoring byes as we sit here now until closer to season start, as pre-season will definitely change it all up.
Tanking the FWD line with the thinking that I’d rather nail the other lines focus upgrades on FWD premos later on. FWD seems to be solid for rookies so using that line for cash gen...
That’s a different perspective I hadn’t thought. Expectations preRd1 haven’t materialised, have managed to get Daics in. Could hold ground, ranking my probleem areas is the weekly routine atm!
yep, thinking of this one being a fix up week.
Dunkley > Cameron
Young > Weller/Macpherson or some other DEF (maybe Stewart but not too enthused after today)
Any love for Oscar McInerney? Does the departure of McStay help his scoring at all? I'm wrestling with possibly putting him in at R2, but not sure I can bring myself to pull the trigger
1923/17 incl Touk as skipper. Avoided the Hall fiasco thankfully. Cogs, Brodie, Sicily, Short and Wehr to come.
Barring any injury/selection drama thinking a double downgrade this week (Parnell > Massimo and Soligo > cheap mid) then get Wehr off the ground week after and being rookie free...
