Preview Round 8: Essendon vs West Coast, Data Breach Stadium, Saturday 4th May, 8:10pm

Fair point, I am probably too harsh. JUH did beat him fairly easy though but in fairness will beat many to come.

Yeah, from memory, he had a good game against us last time.

Preview Round 8: Essendon vs West Coast, Data Breach Stadium, Saturday 4th May, 8:10pm

I have a bad feeling Weideman will be in the mix. In any case Lav looks out of his depth every week and gives away dumb free kicks cos of it. Might get another week. Hoping he can turn form around. If Heppell can, anyone can. Can't afford to carry Davey (1 touch in 3 quarters) but will be a...

    VFL Pies v Dons

IDK, he is just a ball magnet, worth a try? Our midfield is too deep for a spot atm.

Same hairstyle too. Looks like an ageing rocker! Was good tonight with drawing the players then long accurate handballs to advantage. Very clean and great vision. Close to best on for mine.

Could Tsatas play a forward role?

Dogs handballed into trouble all night. Freo slaughtered them in the middle then long handballs forward all night.

The ones that used to spit just dribble now as their teeth have fallen out!

All I know is at the presser Scott said no break or concussion so with a 9 day break you would think he plays.

Preview Round 8: Essendon vs West Coast, Data Breach Stadium, Saturday 4th May, 8:10pm

Still think West Coast are a little overhyped off the back of Reid. Maybe the coaches do too and tempered it by resting him. Remember, they had zero expectations going into the freo game. Freo have been really poor this year also. West Coast for the first time for a while will feel some...

Maybe he plays like the old utility and follows the action.

    AFL Player #37: Nic Martin

As soon as Ridley back I would move Martin forward. With our clearance dominance atm he could snag 4 a game. Also, with the much improved performance of McGrath it is not as critical IMO. One of our big deficiencies is conversion % for forward entries. Martin could fix it. Goals are the name...

IDK, Cats have players in VFL for years and they are happy to wait.

Don't think there is any danger of that. Looking at the presser, Brad & Zach looked like they were seething at the loss. The fact the stats would have us ahead in most games hopefully steels us.

Sheeds was saying 6 in the 90s! Agreed. Sub has had it's time.

Preview Round 8: Essendon vs West Coast, Data Breach Stadium, Saturday 4th May, 8:10pm

This is exactly the game that will define us. A real danger game that in past seasons would have us flat as a tack post Anzac day. We have a good break so no excuses. I think the team needs freshening up and Goldy could do with a rest prior to GWS. Davey needs another stint in the VFL IMO...

Preview Round 8: Essendon vs West Coast, Data Breach Stadium, Saturday 4th May, 8:10pm

You'd think he would walk? Good riddance if he is that fickle. Doubt that is the case at all. Players that are yet established rarely walk. Thing is he needs another few preseasons in the gym but should get a taste soon.

Coach Men's Senior Coach: Brad Scott

Agree with him totally. Years ago Sheeds wanted 6 on the bench. When a team gets an early injury they are often at a disadvantage. Just have 5 on the bench and be done with it.

Yeah they had plenty of time and would have been confident of doing it. was thinking the same. Amazing how many times Pendles bobs up in these situations too. Almost again before the Parish tackle.

    AFL Player #19: Nick Hind

Bit harsh on hind. Was hardly on the ground and did have a couple of important touches. Needs a full game at either AFL or VFL. Thought we should have subbed him on early in the third. needs more time than half a quarter. Agree with Scott, what is the point of the sub these days, just have 5...

Lions are atrocious atm. Another wasted year. People complaining about our defence just watch what the Lions are dishing up. North level.

AFL Autopsy RND 7: Draw Against The Pies

Tackles inside 50 & forward entry efficiency probably cost us. Inside fwd 50 efficiency needs to improve. All other stats well in our favour 2nd week in a row. We will win 80% of games if we improve turnovers & inside 50 efficiency by 10%.
