We did a mock draft on the Richmond board and I had Essendon.
I picked Parish, Francis, Tom Cole and Josh Dunkley.
I think you guys have strong KPPs, so I went with best available from what I've seen.
Would you be happy with those selections?
That's not an option though is it?
Martin won't fall through any PSD. Richmond can choose to trade with any club and pay the difference in his salary and still get something in return.
If Bombers and Tigers do trade, I expect it will get resolved by the end of 2020. Both clubs are stubborn...
Richmond & Essendon supporters sure do love each other.
Looking forward to the end of the year, that clash will be huge.
Since it's our home game too, more people will come ;)
Re: Dreamtime at the G - Ticket sales update
Richmond don't draw and are not big 4.
No way they could sell out the MCG during the season with any other club after winning only two games on the trot.
Hawthorn are big 4 and I'm sure they've sold out the MCG, Richmond are no longer big 4...
Looking forward to the game boys and girls.
Don't underestimate Richmond, we're not mentally weak one bit. It's called improvement, every good side exhibits this.
Richmond by 30. Stop Stanton & Watson and we'll win. Simply as that. You have better depth, but we've got much better top tier...
Pick 19 just isn't strong enough dude, if Richmond offered Pick 15 + Bock Compo + Mitch Morton/Luke McGuane/Dan Connors then we would win out.
But if Gold Coast had WB, Melbourne or Geelong come at them, we would both be blown out the park.
Richmond interested.
Pick 15 + Bock Compo Pick more appealing than Essendon's offer too.
If Melbourne come into play, forget about it, we'll both lose.
Hahaha you guys are hilarious, great thread!! Thumbs up!
Truth is, I don't regard anyone legit if they change teams. It's a joke and against the spirit of the game.
You don't need to bag the Tigers to justify your position against Pat, cheap jabs are not nice. Be humble because things can...
Re: B. Houli
It will be worse than Collingwood/Carlton put together.
Can't wait :D
Infact Collingwood dissapointed me, they weren't as annoying as I expected.
Re: B. Houli
But just as many of your Essendon friends in this thread, pick 50+ in this draft is nothing, so we will be happy to part with nothing and receive something.
Since Richmond have won this little battle, nothing more left to add, I shall leave this thread and resume my posting in...
Re: B. Houli
I don't get it with you lot.
At first he has potential and is 'worth' a pick in the 20s.
Now he walks out and is 'lazy', 's**t', 'spud', 'dud'
and now maybe your team should just take a pick in the 40s.
Just as a Bombers supporter said on our board, 'this is negotiating, we are...
Re: B. Houli
1920-1943 (5 premierships) (23 years)
1944 - 1966 (0 Premierships) (22 years)
1967 - 1982 (5 Premierships) (15 years)
1983 - 2010 (0 Premierships) (27 years)
Can you see the pattern? We are the sleeping giant and yes, we DO have a history that would suggest we will rise again...
Re: B. Houli
Well that will backfire on you won't it, I wouldn't be dealing with a team that traded away their first rounder for Brock McLean ;)
Nice try though.
Re: B. Houli
Spare the cheap insults.
I've heard rumours that we are willing to deal with you and let Grigg slip in the PSD.
You guys are a bit cocky, but thats alright, we are too.
We'd rather screw Carlton over :D
PS: No picks in the 20's. ;)
Re: B. Houli
Six of the Tigers wins came after a solid improvement by the playing group.
While Richmond improved as the year went on, Essendon went from Finals contenders to Wooden Spoon contenders.
Also to DapperDon, your board can't claim to be better than Richmond since you won 2 of your...
Re: B. Houli
I say Pick 29 is worth more than all of the above. So why would we do it?
Houli is not worth pick 29, you can overhype him as much as you want, but we won't be trading our pick.
Re: B. Houli
Except pick 46?
Honestly, Essendon need to clean out this list and I find it mind-numbing as to how you are not drafting kids and continue to persist with a very mediocre list that is making its way through its third coach now.
Re: B. Houli
You can't just hold a gun to the kids head and keep him there.
If he wants to leave, you should help with that, not make it harder for the boy.
If James Hird, one of the greatest players in the history of football becomes the coach and this kid still wants to leave, then why...
Re: B. Houli
Essendon should draft kids with picks 46-65.
James Hird was selected pick 79 ;)
If anyone should know the importance of utilizing your draft picks, its the man who holds all your cards himself.
We got Ben Nason for 71 last year, and you would prefer him on your list rather than...
Re: B. Houli
If he is a 'required' player, why is he lucky to avoid being delisted ;)
Craig Camereon said we won't trade away our Bock pick, nor our 2nd rounder and our 1st rounder is untouchable.
Re: B. Houli
When I mean losing everything, I don't mean losing the whole world.
I mean losing everything on offer.
Better off getting pick 46 than losing Houli through the psd!:)
Re: B. Houli
If you walk into Trade Week and market your player based on potential, you get laughed at. (example: Carlton regarding Jacobs).
The problem with this whole scenario is that Houli is uncontracted and wants to go to Richmond.
This leaves Essendon without much of a choice, their...
