No Friday night Showdown game, because Sydney-Essendon and Collingwood-Hawthorn (Collingwood coincidentally get 9 Thursday/Friday games, plus ANZAC Day and Queens Birthday), are deemed more important?
Was really looking forward to a Friday night Showdown :(
Disgraceful.
Can confirm that Gibbs and Walker were chatting at The Fresh Cafe in Byron Bay.
Didn't think much of it at the time when I saw it, but clearly something big was in the works. :thumbsu:
I'm a fan of letting the professionals who do this for a living- make the calls rather than basing opinions on mock drafts.
Welcome to the club Tom :thumbsu:
Was in the Crowmania store today when Fagan, Pyke, Chapman and two others came through the door today about ninety minutes before the press-conference.
Discounts were pretty good :thumbsu:
Those who have been to the club store, are they offering similar deals to the BLK online store? I am travelling to Adelaide next week and was planning on heading to West Lakes, but if it is cheaper online, I might as well just get it shipped?
I don't think so, I think it is pretty even- when you consider that Dangerfield is a free-agent. They might do better than Adelaide on paper, but you also have to consider that Adelaide are getting a free-compensation pick out of it, which is not Geelong's responsibility to provide.
I am very wary of offering up a lobsided trade and looking like a dill when the AFL reject it. Having said that, the compensation pick is there to be taken. Ignoring the Wood just for a second, if we could bend a trade just slightly to get around the integrity department, how does this sound...
His finish to the 2015 season was amazing. Would have been great to send him off in the AFL (tbh his form almost warranted it) but the circumstances weren't right as we were chasing a top 8 finish and didn't want to mess up Walker, Jenkins and Lynch on the eve of the finals.
Thank you James...
For me, the one shining light of this was giving Brad Crouch the reins to the team.
I am crossing my fingers and toes that he hasn't had another setback
Obviously nobody can compare to Dangerfield, he is one of a kind and in the top couple of players in the AFL, but, I am incredibly excited to see the Crouch brothers hopefully take over next season.
Lets start with a positive. Sam Jacobs was immense tonight. :thumbsu:
The ugly: Commentators speculating on Dangerfield's future. Just call the game for goodness sake.
Quite the opposite in my opinion. Sure, as a club the most important thing that is that he stays. But the Walsh tragedy reinforced the importance of remaining tight with your family, living your life to the fullest and following your dreams. If Dangerfield decides that he want to go back to his...
If he is interested in being a head coach- I would seriously consider bringing Peter Sumich over :thumbsu:
A name from left-field, I would also be interested Alan McConnell from GWS. Even if it is not a senior coaching role, but more of something with a strategy/football department scope. He...
I am a long-term Adelaide supporter who has moved to Byron Bay and have consequently jumped on the Gold Coast train. I probably visit the Adelaide board more than the Gold Coast board, but that is beside the point, I hold the best interests of both clubs at heart and genuinely think that sacking...
That was me. I'll be overseas and the timezone will be an obvious issue that will hold things up consistently.
More than happy to assist with judging or indivual players though :thumbsu:
