It boils down to personal prefernce, hardly any of his films can be faulted. Time Out had Totoro down as their greatest ever animated flick (http://www.timeout.com/film/features/show-feature/8835/)
Just stick to the Japanese versions with subtitles
MY pre-schoolies get to watch looney tunes thanks to dvd and they love them. They also love Felix the Cat cartoons from the silent movie era. Too many cartoons nowadays try to deliver a message rather than just having fun.
