Yep.
And we dont use Chesser as an outlet target and feed the play through his position.
Get the feeling that he has missed alot of junior development, copped an injury year one and the club has decided to use him as a defensive winger to develop aspects of his game.
When the team plays well...
We do know he's playing the dreaded defensive wing role or a variant of it?
Saw some excellent footage versus Freo. Chesser started on the wing. At the bounce he ran inside and picked up an inside mid. Noticed behind Chesser Brockman had run down from half forward to man the Freo winger...
Just watch us pick too many talls.
When in reality it's been the pressure from Long, Cripps and Brockman that has set the tone and helped our team defense system improve.
Hope we don't rush Oscar back as tall forwards are working OK ATM. No risks.
Only watched the first half.
Positives
Waterman
Petruccelle 10 tackles
Darling pushed Suma into 3rd all time goal kickers
We didnt get flogged even though the Suns had an extra 4 players. 18 points late in the 4th
We won stoppage clearences
No injuries
Negatives
One sided umpiring and soft...
Just before half time I've stopped watching this game.
Can't even body a Suns player without the umpires blowing the whistle.
So many soft free being paid one way.
And less than a kick in it.
The umpiring is a joke.....followed by the commentary.
Only positive is we aren't...
Three drafts.
Three trade periods.
Three free agency periods.
Three years development of current players.
And a mountain of cap space.
Feel the Harley factor will help attract talent as well.
Hopefully its:
Yeo out 2027 Warner in 2026.
Gov out 2026 Busslinger in 2024.
Kelly out 2028...
Very subtle. As always.
"My discussion on here have been fair dinkum".
Yet I go read on the Lions board you bragging about poking the bear aka trolling the Eagles board and having a bit of fun. Called you out a couple of times over there and I'm the pot?
Hmmmm.
Happy to hear you are no...
Currently out with a shin stress fracture or something.
So not playing and others are impressing. He will come back later in the season and stocks will rise.
Actually think for us it's between Smillie and Draper this far out at around pick 2 and 5ish. After Ashcroft at 5.
Remember Harley signed with Nike before he was even drafted.
We've been informed by people who know him back home that he loves the attention and is enjoying it in WA.
He's an extrovert who enjoys the limelight and seems pretty laid back.
Thats not to say he wont get annoyed at some point or...
Im basing it on the highlights reel where he took a nice contested mark and kicked a goal. A small sample space I do admit.
At 194cm and from that footage I assumed that his coaches over the years have rested him forward. Since he is KP forward size and dwarfs the opposition.
I dont like trolls. Especially subtle trolls.
Is that bewildering?
Noticed he hasnt said much since we have been good and his mob crap?
Which has been a breath of fresh air I must say.
More like a P Cripps as at 194cm he also plays forward as well as mid.
Tom Green is a 100% mid.
If we drafted Smillie it would almost be curtins for Culley as they are similar players, Smillie quicker I think. Add Hewett resting forward with Ried and now Smillie not sure where Culley fits in.
Eagles and North proposed this 10 years ago.
The AFL said no as it would be unfair on the rest of the competition.
Eddie came up with a better idea. Two non WA clubs fly over, play one WA team one week and 6 days later play the other side.
Then the WA sides each seperately play two games...
Look its complicated.
Maybe not as complicated as the draft and MRP findings..........but complicated.
Its why we need so many highly intelligent, dedicated and highly paid executives and middle managers at AFL House. ;) :$
Wonder how Briz is going.........
Is that the 5th loss this season for the unstoppable Lions........;):oops:o_O
Someone needs to start pedelling faster on the academy production line it seems.
Or maybe look at quality control?
Great believer in karma.
I rate BW and think he has alot of improvement as a forward still to be seen.
You and others seem to be writing him off.
Thats where we differ in opions.
I rate BW's centre bounce taps. I would like to know how effective he is at centre bouces where he can run and jump. He has been providing very good advantage to our mids at centre bounces.
He is really starting to run, jump and take big marks. Reaaly stands out. And also good at ground...
We arent trading BW and he will play 2nd ruck and forward.
Darling is gone in two seasons, maybe end of next year.
Maric I could see as a 3rd tall defender (Sisily style without the DH factor) if we are in the enviable position of having too many gun tall forwards. Maric would make a great...
Are we allowed to trade both 2nd and 3rd rounders in the same draft is my question?
Dont we need to get AFL approval?
Or is that trading a 1st and a 2nd in the same draft?
A moot point as Im sure the AFL would allow it as one player is only 21 and the other makes us more competitive straight...
Wont it need to be our F2nd as we already traded our 3rd this year?
Rioli went for a F2nd and he could play......abiet with off field issues.
Baker valued at a late 1st early 2nd.
Unless he gets games and really impresses a F2nd gets it done as he's OOC. Bulldogs look to be turning over some...
Geelong cold and misserable.
Brisbane temperate and at times hot.
Great weather for cheap house and land packages in Geelong. Not so great for soft tissue injury rehab?
By not signing another door remains open. He cops an injury and loses security.
As for keeping options open you create opportunities by signing an extension, even just a two years extra. If he has two extra years added guaranteeing say $3M over his first five seasons he can take that to the...
Sure. The why didnt we ban all these other players for the same thing.
Rewatching the game Serong did pretty much the exact same tackle and his opponents head actually hit the ground.
The tribunal just left off the AFL current pets GWS and the media have tee'd off.
No way Barrass gets off.
You know its how this works. No such thing as precendence. Its how they feel on the day.
