Those boys probably not training much. Klix didn’t play last season and rumour was he was finished playing due to injuries and stuff. Even though the standard would be low you still need to train and get touch.
Heard hoppers had about 6 out and South had about 9-10 out, with only 2 recruits playing, and one going down in the warm up. Both sides went very young.
Was anyone of the 6 out from Hoppers a ruckman? As they will need one to push forward I would say.
I’m well aware of Spotty decline in the juniors mate. Hence I said they “might” be moving. It has been discussed as recruiting for WRFL is less attractive than other competitions. Yarraville juniors the place to go along with Willy juniors in that area.
Maybe ask around at a few clubs to find out what’s going on behind closed doors. Any club with good juniors and a future will look to move within the next year or 2.
CS, Yarraville, possibly Spotty. WD already on the way out you watch..
What’s happened to Hoppers? They stayed to long in this...
Might want to do better here Grem. The div2 fixture has ultimately put a nail in the coffin of some clubs. If your smart you can read into this WRFL is going to be one 1 division by 2025-2026. But similar to Riddell league.
That div2 comp is a total mess and affects all clubs in the WRFL not...
Question- will WRFL survive past 2024 as a rated metro league?? Hearing a few of the stronger clubs looking at options for season 2025 and beyond to play in a stronger rated competition. Think div1 WRFL just about done!!
I give credit to Rockbank as they keep going. Very difficult area to get players in. Nice surface but no families around that side of the freeway really. If they can hold tight it might improve with houses going up but it’s a long process. But they could easily throw it in but they continue to...
I agree in part but if you get to the point where you need to fill numbers and possibly ask players to help for a game or two you cannot expect to charge them membership. Not sure of the situation in question but just saying each case can be different.
Huge area to draw juniors from as it’s growing fast around that area but majority are not football oriented families so that’s an issue. Might be good for the cricket club though. 😄
They are years off div1 really, if they ever get there at all. Probably not even ready for div2 but that’s what...
They have already recruited a few from melton centrals but no way any player from Melton or Melton South would head to play WRFL div2 as that’s a huge drop of about 3 levels.
And they might return once they see braybrook is no better 🤪🤪
Braybrook lost a few of there best players so probably struggle. Will they beat Rockbank??
Yes mate the RAAF played at there Tottenham base where the big plane was.
Nth Melb Ken were a decent side just to much on field and off field issues. They weren’t alone but just couldn’t seem to reel it in. West Newport were another side who had had issues. Scary time if you played those 2...
Does seem to change clubs every year but the kid has talent. Just needs to settle somewhere for a reasonable fee and enjoy his footy. More a speedy outside player!!
If the div2 clubs were not informed that 2 of the grand finalist were to be promoted then you can’t expect them to go up. They would need to be financially sound and recruiting heavily by now if they were knowingly going up.
I honestly can’t see an issue. What if keilor wanted to record the game on Sunday to use for their match planning? Can’t see an issue with it unless it’s going live.
Best of luck mate.
Yeah bit of a silly comment by the poster but he does have history in the WRFL. But think it’s a good move for a club in div2 to appoint him. Only time will tell I guess. Things do look to have improved at Newport on field so keep it going.
