It's really disappointing that the club is as "in the dark" as we are, yet the media are announcing an 18-match suspension. The AFL needs to take a long hard look inhouse, it leaks like sieve.
That's one hell of a deal he signed. Thank God we didn't match.
Inside McKay chase
INSIDE THE MCKAY CHASE
THE PURSUIT of Ben McKay told the wider story of this year's trade and free agency period, the tactics clubs are undertaking and some of the future of player movement.
Essendon's...
If Essendon submit their offer on the first day of Free Agency, and we elect to match that offer, can Essendon submit a new offer before the Free Agency period is over?
I'm pretty sure if he refuses he goes into the Pre Season draft and then has to hope that the 7 clubs who finished below Essendon don't select him, and that includes us and Hawthorn.
I'd select him just out of spite.
If he is kept, I would think he would play around 10-15 games, he may not get the possession numbers or kick the goals some people care about, but he gives 110% every game, gets in opponents faces (just ask Rowell) and does the 1%'ers better than anyone, and Clarko seem to like that. I would be...
Great video, I like the Dusty comment, his 32 CP's were against Richmond so he may have had Dusty on him at some stage during the match.
BTW, Dusty only had 3 CP's in that game and only 16 disposals overall, while Cunners had 38 possessions, 32 contested and 14 clearances. Only got 1 brownlow...
Shattered but not unexpected. Thank You for the 14 years of service at North Melbourne, you will always be a favourite of mine and countless other supporters. Congratulations on a wonderful career and all the best for the future.
The video on the club website is a tough watch.
God, I hope he plays on next season, because we have nobody to replace him.
Xerri is a bust, I'm not confident CCJ can carry the load and I'm not confident Comben can play out a full season.
And Edwards isn't the player we believed when we drafted him.
I thought he did a number of good things today but his lack of size is an issue. Also I thought he was quick but he was chased down pretty quickly in the third (IIRC). I think he did enough to warrant another few games and he is improving with every game, but I'm still not convinced he is an...
He may not be our captain anymore but he is still our best on field spokesman, he speaks incredibly well and is very passionate about the club and wanting success for the future whether he is playing or not. I may not have thought this 12 months ago, but I do hope he is around when the clubs on...
Eight rounds in and has totally changed my opinion, I thought he was gone and wouldn't be in our best 23 by the end of the season, now I think he is in our top 2 or 3 performers and an integral part of our back six. Amazing turnaround, he seems to be excelling under Clarko.
Nice words from all, but the comments from Gawn and Grundy really stand out for me, two of his greatest rivals over the last 5/6/7 years and both show they have great respect with their contributions.
You would think that Gawn and Grundy in the same team will cancel each other out, Jarrod Witts is the only other current player in the top 20 and he is already 30 years old so you would think would need to average close to 1000 hitouts a season for the remainder of his career to come close...

Boomer never lost a milestone game and that includes games where he kicked 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th and 500th goals.
The last 300 game...
