So does that mean that Morris or whomever came up with the 18 weeks pulled that number out of their arse?

But you would think that if it is serious enough to warrant an 18-match suspension the AFL would bring in the Police, even if the woman didn't.

It's really disappointing that the club is as "in the dark" as we are, yet the media are announcing an 18-match suspension. The AFL needs to take a long hard look inhouse, it leaks like sieve.

18 weeks for something that isn't serious enough for the Police to get involved seems a little weird to me.

That's what I thought too, so it would be a little stupid of Essendon to "underpay" for McKay if they are really desperate to recruit him.

If Essendon submit their offer on the first day of Free Agency, and we elect to match that offer, can Essendon submit a new offer before the Free Agency period is over?

I'm pretty sure if he refuses he goes into the Pre Season draft and then has to hope that the 7 clubs who finished below Essendon don't select him, and that includes us and Hawthorn. I'd select him just out of spite.

If he is kept, I would think he would play around 10-15 games, he may not get the possession numbers or kick the goals some people care about, but he gives 110% every game, gets in opponents faces (just ask Rowell) and does the 1%'ers better than anyone, and Clarko seem to like that. I would be...

Great video, I like the Dusty comment, his 32 CP's were against Richmond so he may have had Dusty on him at some stage during the match. BTW, Dusty only had 3 CP's in that game and only 16 disposals overall, while Cunners had 38 possessions, 32 contested and 14 clearances. Only got 1 brownlow...

God, I hope he plays on next season, because we have nobody to replace him. Xerri is a bust, I'm not confident CCJ can carry the load and I'm not confident Comben can play out a full season. And Edwards isn't the player we believed when we drafted him.

I thought he did a number of good things today but his lack of size is an issue. Also I thought he was quick but he was chased down pretty quickly in the third (IIRC). I think he did enough to warrant another few games and he is improving with every game, but I'm still not convinced he is an...

Eight rounds in and has totally changed my opinion, I thought he was gone and wouldn't be in our best 23 by the end of the season, now I think he is in our top 2 or 3 performers and an integral part of our back six. Amazing turnaround, he seems to be excelling under Clarko.

You would think that Gawn and Grundy in the same team will cancel each other out, Jarrod Witts is the only other current player in the top 20 and he is already 30 years old so you would think would need to average close to 1000 hitouts a season for the remainder of his career to come close...
