Incredible recruit. Relentless competitor that fought tooth and nail in defence and refused to give up on a contest. Could scrap as well as anyone but could also break the lines and slice up the ground with his footskills. Seems like someone you’d love to have a beer with too. Sad to see his...
The WA teams don’t have a history of outbidding each other despite the media beat ups about it. It’s not in their interests long term.
Like, when was the last time you heard “West Coast offered more jet ski’s to win their man ahead of Freo who couldn’t afford a 5th jet ski. West Coast also...
It’s mainly because our list is in polar opposite position to when Scully left and we hadn’t achieved a flag. Seeing Hogan turn into May has also probably helped.
Hasn’t this guy got a second wind that no one saw coming this year. I don’t know if tonight was more than another typical Pig performance but f*** I love what he does. Plays at 100% every minute, plays on bigger opponents, can still sell candy for fun, neat and calm disposer and just competes...
You should suggest to them that the GST state splits should be wound back and see what kind of response you get.
You only have to look at the original WC song lyrics and its references to the east coast to get an idea of the mentality, although it’s softened a little bit.
Freo would be buying Jackson for the next 10 years. They’ve tabled north of $800k a year already, that doesn’t change. The next couple of months form doesn’t impact his trade value.
Was solid last night. He’s seems like quite a shallow kick, some kicks seemed to fall short of the contest last night. Doesn’t matter if you hit targets, but he might need to realise he can’t thump it like the other mids.
Nice game from Weid, but he’ll need to back it up and do a role against better defences than Essendon’s to be anywhere near a mainstay over TMac. Deserves the chance to back it up though.
Sparrow’s last couple of months have put him streets ahead and now Dunstan comes in too. Looking forward to Sparrow getting some more midfield minutes next year with another preseason under the belt.
Nothing wrong with knowing your limitations and retaining the ball more often than not IMO. Guys like TMac and Hunt shouldn’t be trying to hit risky options into the corridor as first option cause their field kicking sucks. Plenty of teams with dedicated kickers at half back, so I didn’t mind...
Hard to think of a player that improved themselves so much from early career to peak career. Delisted to one of the best players in his position for a few seasons. There are probably others, but very hard to do. Incredible resilience.
I’ll always remember his two big bumps in the 2018 finals...
I agree, everything is a one on one or a pack mark. Doesn’t get hit on a lead from FF very often. Not sure if that’s his running patterns or the space isn’t there. I think the former as BB was able to get on the end of a couple. He’s having nearly moments so I’m hoping it all clicks for him one...
12 games in to a career and there seems to be opinion developing that he shouldn’t kick the footy ever again. You’d hate to think after an amazing first season he could get to work on his weaknesses.
Rowan Jones, Brett Kirk, Brad Sewell all lesser lights, but still highly valued cogs in elite midfields. Not saying he is near those names, but there can be a role for the rough and dirty if you do the contested and defensive stuff really well and stay within your limitations.
He’s going very...
Want to give this guy some more acknowledgement. Continued on his good form today. Defending really well and getting a few opportunities per game to attack off half back. Disposal has been reliable as well. Big ticks.
