I am still scratching my head how Sage Clarke(EF) was selected in the initial WA summer squad. Can't see any futures stats, definitely no colts appearances....yes is PSA connected but the kid is literally a ghost when it comes to selection.
Great to see some chat re Nomalytu from EF, would...
Mate, no idea where young Boniwell is. Hasn't been allocated a jumper number on EF colts list, so I assume the injury must be long term. Agree if he ain't on the field, he can't possibly stay number 1. If fit and playing, definitely would be hanging around in your top 15.
Interesting to see...
Joshua Nomlatyu from EF has caught my eye. 197cm and under age. Not sure if the young fella is of Somalian descent or not...anyone know? Kicked a brace in both games so far for EF from limited possessions. I see his sister, Avula is the ruck for the WA girls U/16 state side. Both appear to be...
Urquhart definitely played a big part in EF storming last quarter v Cl. Pity he is PSA, so will disappear soon for a good chunk of the season.
Cl did all the hard work in the first 3 quarters to be deserving winners. Some big boys out there for Cl, plus the Banfield boys racked up some decent...
37 touches and 2 goals for EF Declan Pauline in EF colts win over Peel yesterday. Pauline played some good footy last year as an under ager in EF colts campaign last year. Not talked about much, no doubt a height thing. Will be interesting if a few more performances like that will see the young...
Good to see Rhama Evans name on EF colts playing list for 2024......talented Geraldton youngster who hopefully plays some colts footy this year in the WAFL to showcase his talent.
Kudos to the Perth boys for gaining that remaining GF spot. EF did well to go as deep as they did....undersized side, with no out n out ruck or tall forward. Can only see Sanchez getting drafted, Cocking maybe, but TBH at 189cm he is not tall enough tp play as a KP or fast enough to be on a HFF...
Bit of chat on the WBD thread that Sam Power the list boss was watching the Subi v EF colts game over the weekend. Collard and Spadanuda in particular, were players of interest.
So Cl slip into the GF, leaving Perth and EF to fight out who will be their opponent at the big dance. With Cl seniors losing today, Cl colts odds will only shorten with Curtin coming back in.
Perth after the season they have had, would be very unlucky to go out in straight sets. Whilst EF keep...
2 cracking semi's coming up after the 1st week of finals.
Cl starting strong, then EF coming hard after half time, only for Cl to steady the ship and secure the win in the final 10 minutes.
WP jumped Subi early on, only for the classy Collard to work his magic with 5 goals enabling Subi to...
Perth missed a trick not giving the young fella a few games in the league. Probably pretty desperate to get their colts a minor premiership and that double chance and a week off, in what has a been a pretty bleak season for club.
Still think if Cl league get knocked out, Curtin will be the...
Well the finals lineup is locked in with Perth securing the minor premiership and the extra week rest. Leaving EF v Cl in the qualifying final and Subi v WP in the elimination.
Despite EF edging past Perth, Cl and Subi over the last 4-5 weeks, still think it's a 3 way battle between P, Cl and...
Super surprised Livingstone hasn't had a league debut as yet. Obviously Perth keen to keep that top spot going into the finals.
SF obviously thinking ahead for 2024, could see a few 2nd tier players get moved on from their senior list....especially after that reserves performance v WP on Sun.
Only absentees to that side are Petersen, Vladich and Austin...who are all injured. Think EF will need to be playing at their maximum, if they are going to upset the top three. Will be a cracking finals....as WP are last years grand finalists and they are sitting in 5th spot and no mugs.
Be interesting to see if EF drop some of their current colts eligible boys playing reserves back to a 0910 start. Some tough colts games coming up v the top 3 over the next month.
Sanchez, Spadanuda, Dunscombe, Wiseman and Gangemi getting a taste of reserves footy last few weeks. With Austin...
For an undersized key forward Jack Cocking(189cm) has done very well in front of the sticks for EF. Cocking is another promising Geraldton junior, who had benefitted from playing GNFL league footy from an early age... for Railways I believe. Hopefully sticks around for next year and pushes for...
Well done to Perth on winning the contest between the two unbeaten sides in the colts comp...though considering Cl had a few of their top talls out in Curtin and Van Rooyen and a few others...the winning margin by Perth wasn't very big..
Yeah true, but I guess when Jack started out, he didn't have those 771 and still counting goals. In terms of weight, height and agility, Kentfield is a good replacement for Jack in the near future....as for replacing that goal tally...yep about as much chance as that ex EF boy Jack Williams...
