What a bizarre comparison. The two incidents couldn't be more different.
I agree, two weeks is sufficient, but I'm very surprised that you think there are any similarities between what Naitanui did, and what Lycett did.
I'm sure Mumford won't miss Bontempelli across the jaw with an "accidental" swinging elbow next time we play the Bulldogs. Was a dog act by Naughton and I'm sure he'll have something come his way soon.
Took his eyes off the ball and swung an elbow outside of his torso which collected and concussed Whitfield. I don't think it was accidental as the lateral movement of his arm from his midline was unprompted and could only have been to whack Whitfield.
At least one week, potentially two.
Hold the ball for sixty seconds? How do you come to that conclusion? If Paddy Dow doesn't turn the ball over on the wing, Carlton win that game. Nothing to do with umpiring at all.
That's a blatant lie.
Gold Coast kicked a point from that spillage. Carlton had possession back and turned it over themselves for Gold Coast to win the game.
Probably a good idea to get your facts straight, as a moderator.
Correct outcome. I definitely don't think Doedee played for a free kick or ducked his head, is was more of a case that he braced for impact and in doing so, lowered his centre of gravity to balance himself in preparation of the impending force from McStay. McStay definitely didn't show any...
Just saw Hinkley's press conference. That guys is a nasty piece of work. Commenting on an incident in that manner lacks class. Nyhuis will be dealt with by the match review panel. Hinkley adding fuel to the fire like that contributes absolutely nothing and is prejudicial to the process. Very...
One week, no more.
Unfortunate incident, Nyuis had no way of knowing Gray had let go of the ball. Definitely wasn't intentional and he didn't slam his head into the ground as a few are saying. Was one motion where his ribs hit the ground simulatenously with his head.
Hope Gray is well, a very...
Not trying to justify it at all, and I've made my thoughts on the incident very clear (minimum six weeks), but isn't he pleading that it was careless rather than intentional? I don't think he's plead not guilty to the charge itself?
Yeah, I don't get that part either. They're trying to throw...
I edited my post to add more of my thoughts in. But I don't think that the club's defence is "character shaping". Adelaide have made plenty of mistakes in the past and I don't think any of it "shaped their character". A football club's culture is much bigger than one incident or tribunal appearance.
You're talking a minority. Go back and read the thread properly before you jump to conclusions.
How have GWS conducted themselves poorly? Shiel said that he expects him to be suspended, David cautioned against using the term "dog act" and nobody else from the club has commented? Do you just...
Can't speak for everyone, but I am more than happy to see him have a holiday after that incident. The safety of those on the football field and the reputation of our club is far bigger than our next 6-8 weeks without him. Never want to see something like that ever again.
If there was a red card rule, Cameron deserved it. Very poor. Similar incident happened where Cotchin went after our best player in the Prelim. Hated being on the other end of it that day, really feel for Lions fans :(
One of the few games a 28-14 free count was entirely justified.
Adelaide were repeatedly first to the ball and Richmond were sloppy and didn't get low enough in their tackles in the last quarter. The more the pressure came on from a scoreboard perspective, the more the Tigers made basic footy...
