We going to mention Harris Andrews doing the exact same thing a few minutes later and no call? or at least mention Brad close not getting the easiest pushed in the back call of the night 40 Mtrs out from goal only 30 seconds later?
Well none of the rules fixed why the scores are low. Congestion around the ball and having all 36 players in a 70 metres of the ground trying to squeeze the game up. None of the news rules alleviate these issues. Things like zones and last touch would probably work however even typing that...
Make Interchange lower numbers. 50?
scrap the nominating
Throw it up/back in straight away
Bring back dropping the ball
Thats really all they need and then make it a rule that they can't change rules for 5 years
This would mean teams would kick closer to the boundary line though in theory as the defender can't spoil that side of the contest making it very easy for the attacking team to either get the ball straight back or the forward marks. Maybe examine why teams want to always kick down the line...
1. Interchange yes but would make it 50 then drop it the following year (let teams get use to it) protects teams with injuries, keeps better players out on the ground. Take away the state of the game argument and it should be done regardless.
Out of bounds - no way too harsh
No nominating...
They went a bit over the top with the deliberate and the 50 to Shepard was a joke but apart from that it was fine, loving the carrying on from everyone though.
