Are you joking? Surely he signs a 2 year or more deal at Hawthorn , unless he wants to play midfield and feels blocked there at Hawthorn.
Geelong can guarantee a start in the middle.
You could have got more though last year.
Traded with GWS directly first.
Does Melbourne want to move up unless to get Reid? Do they want 6,11 to help the forward line or to help provide extra midfield cover for what might happen with Oliver, Brayshaw going forward.
I guess I made a mistake.
3 to Melbourne for 6 11.
North trades in 1,2024r3 for 2,6,15.
North has 1,11,17,18 this year.
I think that is more likely.
If West Coast and North are going to trade, may as well trade 3 elsewhere to generate more overall value for North/ West Coast combined.
I personally think that North has to give up 2,3, or
trade 3 to gws to get 7,16.
Then send you 2,7,15.
They have 1,3,16,17,18.
Or they trade 3,2024r2 for 6,11.
Send you 2,6,15,18 for 1,2024r2,r3.
They have this year 1,3,11,17.
I think it doesn't make sense for North to have 5 first rounders this year, West Coast 1. I think a trade could involve west coasts future 1st.
1,2024r1 for 2,3,15,17,norths 2024r2 I think is fair.
Perhaps 1,21,2024r2 for 2,3,15 is also a pretty fair trade.
I am not Chris. A better meme would be the look on Brad's face from that 2013 ģame North lost after being 30 points up with 10 minutes to go vs Adelaide ( missing Tex Walker who had done his knee a couple of weeks before).
Maybe clubs should refuse to trade for Norths 2 priority picks next year. Hopefully they go up next year. They weren't that bad this year, especially if they didn't lose to swans. I think they could easily have a 7 win season next year without tanking.
Would you extend his contract though?
If somebody is offering him I assume a contract for 2024,25,26 then he would take it. If he plays next year at Crows and doesn't play AFL maybe nobody offers him a contract for 2025/26.
I think it is interesting. You need to sign players for free to stay up
Doedee a good idea.
Adams out for a 30's pick is ok.
I am glad for Nic Daicos he has a flag, otherwise his career could have mirrored Shane Crawfords, basically turning a 8-9 win list into a 13-14 list each season which...
This sounds a bit harsh on North, Generous to Gold Coast.
Essentially 1,2024r2 for 2,3 with wce/ North.
Then North trade for pick 5.
They give 2024r1,14,19 wce 2024r2.
That's alot to give up for pick 5.
I think North can do a separate trade for ports 2024r1, include it instead of their own 2024r2.
Both those players probably only play another 50 games or so at best. I though there is talk Lynch ankle hadn't healed properly, he might miss some of next season or even tbe entire season.
If Melbourne win the flag, would they be prepared to trade 5 for Hawthorn's 2024r1.
If so, would west coast accept 3,5 for 1?
Or 1,19 for 3,5?
Or could it be a three way trade where
Hawks: gain1, lose 3,2024r1.
Melbourne: gain 2024r1,19 lose 5, 2024r2
Wc gain 3,5 ,2024r2 lose...
Drafted players are a certain chance of being a good player ( say 150 game career).
Pick 1 about 80% chance, 5 55 %, 7 45 % chance, We shouldn't take pick 7 when we can trade down and get 3 players with maybe 40%, 25%, 20% chance of being a good player.
I propose trading down twice.
7 for 9...
I want us to target Gold Coasts 2024r1, and get some extra useful picks this year.
This would be a live trade on draft night when it is our turn to pick our first rounder.
Trade 8,2024r3 for 30,35 Gold Coast 2024r1.
We might be able to get better picks from them this year if we make it our...
It is now pick 4.
I want Geelong to do a live trade on draft night ( when it is our turn to use our first rounder).
Our pick 8, 2024r2 for Gold Coasts pick 30,35 2024r1. I am using 30 35 as examples, they won't have those exact picks.
That way Gold Coast gets an extra good pick this year that...
Where else do sydney get a decent KPD from?
I guess they try for Himmelberg, maybe Riccardi from GWS. Barass could be an option.
Swans have plenty of draft picks.
As the ladder stands, 5,23 of their own, plus 20,38 from Hawthorn.
They might. Mills and McDonald injured today ( buddy had 4 possessions)
They and GWS could finish 14th, 15th.
If himmelberg doesn't go to swans, I could see them offering a 5 year, 650k deal to Esava.
