Pick 1 2023 Trade value - What would it take?

If that is the case, then somebody needs to tell the WA press, they must be getting that information from somewhere.

Pick 1 2023 Trade value - What would it take?

I can't see North trading for Pick 1 now, unless the price is right, and some of the suggestions from the WC fans are beyond ludicrous. West Coast's priority is Curtin, while North sees him as gettable now that we have picks 2 and 3, all North have to do is infer that Curtin is on its radar and...

Free Agency Ben McKay [Joins Essendon as RFA]

Feels like a steal to me, pick 3 for an injury prone fullback. Happy.

Free Agency Ben McKay [Joins Essendon as RFA]

I thought the concept of tying compensation to finishing position was to ensure clubs that finish at the bottom of the ladder aren't fleeced of their "best talent" by the top clubs, prolonging their stay at the bottom.

Free Agency Todd Goldstein [Joins Essendon as UFA]

Sorry, you are correct, but he is 35yo so we are getting nothing.

Free Agency Todd Goldstein [Joins Essendon as UFA]

He is unrestricted, we get nothing.

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

It does seem a little odd, but I guess we are placing our faith in a young kid by the name of Comben who we selected a couple of years ago.

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

If we wanted Cadman we wouldn't have agreed to the deal, I think we are looking at two from Wardlaw, Tsatas or Sheezel.

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

I don't think I have ever said Port need to add a player to JHF deal, I don't know enough about the PA playing list to decide on one we should demand.

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

Adding a player is an unnecessary complication and a stupid idea.

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

This isn't about fair, this is about GWS wanting to get pick one to guarantee they can select the player they want which I'm assuming that to be Cadman. If they are that desparate they should be willing to pay overs to make it attractive.
  12. DEVO

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

This deal only becomes a good deal for North if Port has massive injuries issues next season and finishes in the bottom five.
  13. DEVO

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

Trading Picks 3 & 12 for pick 1 is grand larceny. GWS need to throw North another pick in the teens.
  14. DEVO

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

We are giving up two pick ones and a future 2nd (probably around 20-25) for 2, 3 and a future 1st (probably in the teens). If Brady spends more than 2 seconds thinking about this deal before saying no, he shouldn't be in the job, this is terrible for us from every angle.

    Traded Mega deal - 4 clubs, 2 players, 14 picks (inc #1, #2, #3, #8, #12 and 5 future picks)

There has been some discussion today about GWS giving North picks 3 & 12 for pick 1, but in this new "mega" deal we only get pick 3 off GWS for pick 1. If we are going to trade with GWS for pick 1, I would hope we do it separately as we are getting shafted royally here. BTW I'm yet to be...

Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

Sorry Scheissenfest, it's due diligence on the part of the North Melbourne Football Club. If JHF is that desperate to return to his mummy it would be criminal of NMFC not ask Adelaide to see if they would be interested in him, it doesn't matter if he wants to go there or not. It's then up to...

Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

That's for Adelaide to work out, I don't care. If JHF wants to return home we are not doing what is best for NMFC if we don't ask Adelaide what they can offer. It may even get Port's attention and force them to offer what we want and not what they are willing part with.

Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

Do they? Tell him if he wants to return home it's the Crows or he stays at Arden Street next season.
  19. DEVO

Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

Give up on Port and shop him to the Crows. Pick 5 & 23 plus next year' s first.
  20. DEVO

Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

3.2m over four years for a 19yo, JHF must be a very good player. If Port think he is worth that much, then two first rounders (no futures) should be the minimum we ask for.
  21. DEVO

Traded Griffin Logue [Traded with Darcy Tucker, F3 to North for F2 PP, F3 PP and F4]

I think he knows we are closer to a flag than the Tigers.
  22. DEVO

Recommitted Dyson Heppell [re-signed for 2023]

Rumour going round that he is heading to Gold Coast

Club Focus North Melbourne 2021 - Greenwood, Coleman-Jones, Horne-Francis, Goater, Curtis, Bergman, Archer

It will be interesting to see what the signing of Greenwood will do with out draft hand. Is it now possible to package 20, 42 & 47 for a pick in the teens in the hope of selecting a Van Rooyen, Draper or Mac Andrew.
  24. DEVO

Traded Callum Coleman-Jones [Traded to North Melbourne with 42, 47 and a future 4th for Tarrant, 40 and a future 2nd]

Everybody has an opinion. The Roos and Tigers are ‘miles apart’ at the trade table. It seems one is likely going to have to pay ‘unders’
  25. DEVO

Traded Callum Coleman-Jones [Traded to North Melbourne with 42, 47 and a future 4th for Tarrant, 40 and a future 2nd]

We should walk away from all negotiations with Richmond and select him in the PSD. Also force the Tigers to pick Tarrant up as a free agent if they want him.
  26. DEVO

Recommitted Sydney Stack [re-signed for 2022]

I think you're right, we pick up Stack with Pick 1 in the PSD.
  27. DEVO

Traded Callum Coleman-Jones [Traded to North Melbourne with 42, 47 and a future 4th for Tarrant, 40 and a future 2nd]

Can't see this happening, North are playing nice by agreeing to trade out Tarrant so it doesn't effect your compo claims, I'd expect Richmond to do the same and not make a play for our top two picks.
