I should have made it clear, that Pocock is still the incumbent in my mind, but we are seriously lucky to have Michael Hooper as a back-up. I think we'd have 2 of the top 4 Openside Flanker's in the world, a pretty big luxury so Pocock isn't being missed as much as most people expected.
Never thought I would say this, but Pocock isn't as big of a loss as anybody expected. Hooper has been immense since he came in and was great last night again I thought. He is definitely the incumbent, but I hope we can find a spot for Hooper, possibly on the blindside as he is too good to sit...
Cummins has just scored, really like the look of him from what we have seen. Far and above his efforts at Super 15 level, maybe he's a player that thrives on the talent around him and on the big stage, as he's hardly put a foot wrong since coming onto the wing. As solid of a winger as we could...
The form of Horne and McCabe brings an interesting dilemma as to what is our best side when everyone is fit. O'Connor, Beale, Cooper, Mitchell were easily be in our best 15 a year ago and I would still rate them, but where do they fit in given Barnes is playing good football and so is AAC.
I'd...
Just read that Sebastian Chabal has been released by Metro and is a chance to come to Super 15. He would be a quick-fix to the forward pack fears and a huge leader to the club- in and off the field. Unfortunately I can't see it happening but he'd be a fantastic addition IMO.
This, This, This.
I know he gets bagged a lot, but I don't mind Anthony Faainga, I admire his toughness and willingnes to throw himself to the wolves for the team. But as has been the case for the past few years, has all the heart and determination you could ask, but quite simply hasn't got the...
Was a really good match as most against Wales are and the SBS coverage was excellent!
I would have liked to see James O'Connor doing a bit more work at fly half as he seemed to go a bit Quade Cooper on us at times (trying to do the brilliant step-over or "in-side out pass" rather than the...
Bit of an error from me. I meant that we have seen him on very limited occasions for Australia (due to injury) but he's been very impressive for both the Wallabies and the Waratahs when he's on the park. His footwork and reading of the play is outstanding while his acceleration is also super...
15. O'Connor

7. Pocock
6. Elsom
5. Horwill
4. Simmonds
3. Alexander
2. Moore
1. Kepu...
Nonu had a less than impressive start to the Super 15 season. Since then, he has never looked back and has done very well throughout the Tri-Nations and World Cup.
Would love for Pocock to win it though...
The pressure is off him now. I think he will relish the lack of scruitiny heading into the game and his performance will show this.
Having sad that, he needs to make a number of fundamental changes to his game over the next year if he wants to become more than just an "excitement machine". He...
England beat Scotland with a 77th minute try.
I was really hoping Scotland would get up and even more so, by more than 7 points. They should be pretty pleased none the less.
Will come down to Barnes vs Giteau I would think. If Barnes isn't fit then Giteau, but other than that, I can't see him making the team which is disappointing but the team must be picked on form and runs on the board. Giteau simply hasn't done enough over the past few years. Personally, I would...
