Wallabies, Fiji and Wales in the same pool for the third consecutive world cup.
4th time in the last five world cups that Australia & Wales are in the same group.
Pick of the pool stage matches (as things stand in december 2020) is definitely France v New Zealand
First aus and nz will have their own domestic comps and then later on there will be a separate short trans Tasman comp involving all 10 aus & kiwi teams.
I'm pretty sure the saffa's will just run their own comp again with the Jags involved.
There are far more nuanced rules that are dependent on the rfs interpretation. A bit like how you might see a pack form in footy and the umps pull a free kick out of it. At the break downs if you want to win the win the ball you have to come in directly front on and remain on your feet, so if...
Amazing performance from the pumas. So glad I decided to go to the pub to watch it. Make no mistake that 10 point margin was flattering to NZ, they were completely out played in every facet today.
Its like watching a single season of a TV series on repeat.
Pretty optimistic it'll be a good game, not expecting a Wallabies win but am expecting at least a contest with a much smaller final margin than a fortnight ago.
My ideal new world(southern hemisphere) order:
Super Rugby Pacific
-Blues
-Chiefs
-Hurricanes
-Crusaders
-Highlanders
-Reds
-Waratahs
-Brumbies
-Force
-Pacific Islands Team(based primarily in Fiji but also drawing on players and playing occasional home games in Samoa & Tonga)
Super Rugby...
lets here them.....
I'll kick off from the half way line.....
Eventually Super Rugby will split into two different comps:
Asia Pacific comp (Aus, NZ, Japan, Fiji.....maybe even Hong Kong & Singapore)
Africa/South America comp (South Africa, Argentina......maybe a Uruguayan & Namibian team too)...
Boks played their best rugby of the last 2 years tonight.
Looking back at their pool game v the all blacks, that 23-13 scoreline was very flattering to NZ. outside the 4mins where NZ got two break away tries SA were the better team.
Looks as if England spent all their chips last week.
Might not...
Presuming most on here would support the Wallabies, and Im guessing theres a few All Blacks fans also.
Does anyone have any other national teams they back, either parallel with supporting the Wallabies or maybe even more so than the Wallabies.
Personally I support Wales the most, just because...
Rather funny that is 2018 the Force had higher attendances than any of the Austrlian super rugby sides despite playing what were essentially just a series of friendlies.
Rugby Union has a long history and relatively good following WA, why they axed them instead of the Rebels is indicative of...
-Italy to beat Ireland ad go trhough to the 1/4 finals.
-Wales to beat South Africa and finish top of the group.
-England to beat New Zealand in the final
Wales will not challange for another 6 nations crown until Gatland goes.
I though he was good, but since their title in 2008, Wales have been utter crap.(can't even beat Fiji)
he was the difference between the two sides last night, had he not have been playing i dare say england would have ground ut the 2nd half and held on for a comfortable victory. surely he'll get a full test cap this year
1/4 finals
France - Argentina
Australia - Wales
England - New Zealand
South Africa - Ireland
1/2 finals
France - Australia
New Zealand - South Africa
final
France - South Africa
