And that is eight shots trying to straighten my left leg earlier at impact....a lot better than my previous effort. 5 iron. Everything this morning was half to a centimetre to the toe.
I am struggling with the longer clubs, no consistency at all. Thinking of removing my 2 iron, 4, 5 and possibly 6 and moving into hybrids. I am aging a bit and unfit in some ways.
Club fitter has been contacted. I will keep you posted.
Having said that it could be just a technical thing...
I went to the range last night to try out a few things after tinkering with my driver and 3 wood. I adjusted them to a higher loft and a fade setting. I made a slight change at address... Having the driver head sitting about 5 inches behind the ball instead of right next to the ball. Shaft...
I racked up a score on that one last I played it after being on the back for 3....nearly putted it down hill into the bunker at the front. I was so riled that when I was looking at my next putt I lost balance and for the life of me I don't know how I didn't fall down the 8 foot drop into the pot...
Played 16 with the kid at the local public last night. Lots of course work going on, on the front 7 lol. (2 holes not in play...but we tried and the marshall chased us off the course haha). About 9 over. I wasn't happy off the tee but ok.
Bought a set for junior. The ZX7s are perhaps a bit hard for him to hit (the 4 iron is the more forgiving ZX)....but it will teach him to swing well to get results. We went to the range and once he realized to grip down (they are standard length and he is 5 foot 7) and not to drop his head...
At least you would not be missing an important iron from your set up. And they will be heaps better than your current ones. That Hybrid suited you. If it was reg...just get reg irons. Some irons the can be bent to your lie angle...I don't think it is too expensive. Forged ones.
Long time ago...I had just joined and was a weekday member....or a provisional member or something, and just had got my handicap. From memory from 3 social rounds. I bumped into the president on the morning of the first round of club championships and he wanted me to play...told me to pay the...
I was a member there for about 5 years while I studied at Dookie. Got my starting handicap from 22 down to 10 in my first year as I was able to play 18 after school every day. Pissed a lot of old members off because I won too many D and C grade comps as that happened. They kicked me out of the...
Quick 18. 10 over. 1 birdie, 2 doubles....pars and bogies. Pretty solid. Youngest (21) shot 106 in about his 10 game. Broke 50 on the front for the first time, the harder 9, but couldn't keep it up...he had 5 bad holes overall. Hit 6 drives anyone here would be happy with...approx 250m middle of...
Yes I hit my second shot...miss hit 5 iron to the first for an eagle putt (maybe 280m dve) and had 140m in for my second on the par 5 tenth (over 300m). Down wind...down hill and rock hard.
Took on the heat and a harder course Churchill Endeavour Hills. Birdied the first but was back to reality after that. The last six holes on the front I played very poorly. Back nine was solid. Mid nineties. Cannot remember hitting a solid longer iron. Fairways like concrete and not much sand in...
I could get it going straight but no feel at all. It has a golf pride re grip...the same shape and size as the ping grips. I think I would struggle on quick greens. I played on medium/slow greens today and ran it past 5 or 6 feet maybe half a dozen times. Have putted well in the past so...
77 today. Equipment change served me well. Went from stiff flex driver and fairway back to old taylormade reg flex M4s. I was hitting longer and can shape both ways. Also changed putter (because my kid has been struggling so I let him use my 2 ball odyssey...whilst I used my old ping copper...
