Jack Macrae overrated? Seriously? He’s about the most unassuming mid getting around and is a three-time AA. Hardly anyone talks about him. Bailey Smith, Tim English and maybe Naughton (to an extent) are overrated, but Macrae is an awful nomination.

Overall, his output has been a shade disappointing considering his talent, but Naughton is elite at ground level and defensively, he’s as good as any key forward. Fair enough knock his kicking and the odd spoiling of a teammate, but he’s a jet at ground level.

Hard side to gauge. I love the way their midfield sets up and there’s some depth there, albeit it’s a young engine room. Sicily & Lewis both staying on the park will be the key and Breust is still playing good footy. Is Gunston completely gone?

That’s true and his bad games really stood out (he could have some real stinkers). Didn’t have anywhere the consistency of a Scarlett or Rance, but his best was good as any key back. Over 09-10, he was arguably the Dogs most important player and they were a top 4 team then.

Both were good games, but Lake’s had a much bigger impact on the end result.

Dragged the dogs into the 2015 finals by winning several games off his own boot. One of the most dangerous players in the game heading into 2016, where he was okay but never got close to that 3rd season dominance again. He’s mainly looked too heavy since then, especially in the last 5 years.

Yep, Oliver a lot like Scott West in Brownlow/best player areas. Seemingly always going to find a few better or a couple more brilliant that just standout more, but he’s unbelievably consistent. Will finish top 5-10 every year.
