Well that isn't going to happen.
If he goes to the National Draft he probably goes for the pick that could be traded anyway.
Certainly goes high first round and the club he wants to go to is reliant on no other team being able to meet his contract.
It would cost the club he gets too more than...
WC cannot walk English to PSD.
If they make the free agent offer and the Dogs match then he stays at the Dogs on that matched contract UNLESS WC (or any other team making the free agent offer) come up with a trade.
PSD is for uncontracted players .
A matched offer to a free agent means their is...
The break was pre-draft.
He made AA and coasted.
2021 showed that he could still do it if he had a consistent work ethic, but he preferred an easy path rather than maximise his talent.
Stringer v Wingard
Wasted career v wasted career.
Both started out looking like they could be significant long term AA standard and have just not made the most of their talent.
I see Stringer as the bigger disappointment because he could have been close to number 1 with a decent work ethic.
If I was making a choice between these, I would opt for Toby McLean instead.
McLean is the big improver this year despite being a solid premiership contributor in 2016
The option of unders or overs really is dependent on who really wants the trade.
Would a GWS need for Poppy be stronger than a Hawthorn need to move him on?
Hawthorn can't expect other clubs to take players from them just because Hawthorn need some quality players in the under 25 age group.
He doesn't need set shots to miss.
He actually goaled from a set shot against Carlton so he has now not missed since he first 6 missed attempts.
The coach was happy with his overall game.
The more like for like comparison for Sicily at the Bulldogs is Toby McLean.
Sicily has been in the system 1 year longer, but McLean works harder around the ground and is already a more rounded player.
He may well add more elements, but he absolutely needs to.
After a promising start in the semi final he went missing. If he is going to depend on his marking, I don't see a long career.
Well Hawthorn have obviously been a contending team and not had access to high draft picks, but they have also made deliberate decisions to utilise free agency to stay at the top.
This has been an astute strategy used successfully.
They have in 2016 traded out of the drafts to acquire players...
I guess I am looking at the ability to draft and develop.
While Mitchell and O'Meara are A grade potential, I don't need to include Tom Boyd to find 5 top quality from my team. I also don't need to include any speculative draftees they may not be good enough.
Sorry that I seem smug, but we do...
i looked at Hawthorn and I came up with Burton. Where are the potential A graders in their 23 and under players apart from the traded in Mitchell and O'Meara.
I understand what you are saying, but apart from Zac Merrett, Daniher, Fantasia and Parish the others are potential more than performance and Tipungwuti is almost 24.
It will be interesting to see how they go in 2017.
I like how Sydney have developed players
Isaac Heeney
Callum Mills
Aliir Aliir
Zak Jones
George Hewett
Tom Papley
Jake Lloyd
are a pretty good top 7 and as a whole were important in getting a side to a GF. That is better performed than Essendon, although I concede opinions will vary.
I have no trouble comprehending, but it seems you are unable to grasp my humour.
To explain slowly "depth" is hardly a term that is associated with the phrase "on the surface".
"On the surface" is a term that indicates that there is not much below the surface.
The use of the language goes...
Off course if you look at what posters from other clubs are putting forward you might consider some of the following
Age 23
Clay Smith
Fletcher Roberts (premiership fullback)
Lin Jong (VFL Norm Goss medallist)
Marcus Adams
Age 20
Toby McLean (premiership player)
Lukas Webb - will be a very...
Re: Choose who will be the best performers in 2011 from the 2010 Drafts - excluding the top 20 draft
Ignore the elevated rookies and
Mitch Wallis (22)
Tom Liberatore (41)
and anyone you like.
Perhaps he was the biggest con of the lot. Why did the Doggies make their interest in Puopolo so obvious and still expect him to be available at 74.
I like the look of Schofield who is 5 years younger.
I don't know how anyone can rate the performance of respective clubs as everyone has...
Sorry.
The Dogs have been removing soft outside runners with kicking skill and have plenty of defensive rebound. Would certainly prefer Hurn to Birchall. Hurn is harder at the contest and a better kick.
He has been overlooked because in his first eligible draft year in 2003 he was considered too small and there were question marks on his disposal. These were mostly raised by "an expert commentator" in Andy Bennett on ABC Tasmania with his Tassie Devil games.
I know he can run all day as he...
I am confused by your explanation. On that reckoning North have had 1078 games since the 2006 draft. (22x49)
Perhaps the post was referring to 2006 draftees having played a total of 129 games, which is an excellent return
Thomas and Campbell have played 35 of a possible 49 each. I don't...
