On success Hawthorn > Geelong Call be biased but I believe Geelong at their peak were > Hawthorn now. Brownlow medalists, AA, sustained period of success etc. Since 07 Geelong have been genuine contenders in at least 6 of those years, Hawthorn since 08 have been 4 times.

One team arguably over performed based on the talent on it's list and has lost many of it's past heroes over the past few years, the other wasn't able to capitalize on form that was able to challenge any team in the comp. Will Geelong or North finish higher next year?
