Cars & Transportation Vent about all things traffic

I have been reversing my trailer into my driveway for 25 odd years after work. Campaigner knocks down the house opposite, builds a couple of units and now parks cars directly opposite my driveway. I get home around the time the 2 nearby schools get out each day. Every day I am under the pump...

The strangest places where you have discovered money

Went to clean out my canvas lunch eski and pulled out the plastic insert and there was $500 sitting there. I must have slipped it in there at some point so the missus wouldn't grab it from my wallet and blow it. Forgot it was there...lucky find.

They will only grow at this time of the year...those rubbery ones are too atm. But then something else will over winter or other seasons. You can either continue hand weeding or very carefully spray with a glyphosate weed killer (roundup or zero or equivalent). Make sure it's not to windy or...

They should...they are using the stored energy to grow the leaves but when that runs out they will die unless they grow them. I imagine they will.

I few things I would do down here. I would place them under the eaves in a hot position getting afternoon sun down in sth Vic. I would also give each plant a teaspoon or two of a slow release fertilizer like osmicote after its semi grown (it only works when the temp is above 20 degrees so no...

There is probably a reason they did not go well so what ever you choose to go with google its growing conditions and prepare, plant and look after it as recommended. Good luck with it. From memory down here Chilli hate frost so it is hard to get them to live more than a year so people generally...

Things that sh*t me the fifteenth part

Those E scooters look to have a ridiculous amount of acceleration/torque even if they are top speed limited. What are they like at stopping? Plenty of people are using them in my area on footpaths and roads. Shudder to think what's going to happen at some point with someone reversing out of...

Things that sh*t me the fifteenth part

Kids mess...more specifically clothes on the bathroom floor, lots of them. I got home from work and was stark naked just about to shower and I stood on something which hurt. So I am rummaging around these clothes trying to see what bit me and couldn't find it...so checked under my foot. A dam...

Things you do to intentionally irritate to your partner

Yeah I might be the same, hate the heat and am in shorts outside all Winter, although I would light a fire just to relax in front of.

Umm...not what I do to her but what she is doing to me....after mowing 40 plus lawns a week through a pretty hot, dusty period we finally get 2 cool days. Mowed 9 today and come home to the heater on 🤦‍♂️

Yeah it would was away if it was a decent drop. Its mixed with water so i cant see it harming them in any way. I imagine you would lose a bit of benefit of it being on their leaves as it will wash off. Pretty sure the absorb some of it that way and it speeds up the process a bit.

No mate, makes no difference. Seasol is like a vitamin tablet for plants. At some point you might want to scatter a handful of fertilizer around them (dynamic lifter or the like). Now they are recovering don't kill them by over watering as the weather cools....a longer deeper water once every 2...

My dad inherited an old sheep dog when he bought a farm. He had grey through his black coat and was getting a bit hard of hearing. Dad loved him but geez it was a love hate relationship at times. Dad would yell one instruction...and he would hear wrong and do something else...and just when it...

Yeah it would be good to be a fly on the wall to see why they turned out the way they did. Was my kitten mistreated? or never handled by a human? Love to know.

Our latest cat we grabbed from the RSPCA. When we were introduced to the kittens the girl said be careful of that one...she's feisty. When I picked her up she hissed at me. I liked her and her attitude and somehow convinced the others she was the one. She still doesn't enjoy be picked up (does...

Would love to know if anyone has Zoysia. It's expensive and looks difficult to establish but seems hardy as , versatile and can look amazing from what I've seen on the internet. You can have it perfectly manicured Or you can leave it never cut which creates an interesting effect I know...

It might depend on where the big trees are and where your grass is. In Melbourne our rains generally come in from the South West....so any grass on the North east of a big tree will not get much natural rain and get dry. I also think a bit has to do with how well it's laid and where it comes...

I have lots of customers with it...and have some very mixed results. It does not like shade (or big trees nearby), heavy traffic or being cut too short. I had one put a jumping castle on it and it killed the whole area underneath it (one day). The curator at Wesley put some down in a common area...

You're in Melb right? We had a very wet spring which was great for their establishment. Hopefully the roots have developed a fair bit and as long as they are not damaged it might help to get them going again.

Once they are established there is no need for daily watering....in fact its better 2 or 3 times a week (unless we go into one of those heat waves). A longer water will get it down deeper...and as it dries on top it encourages the plant to chase the water that's down. They end up with a stronger...
