Doesn't matter whether Geelong could or couldn't; they won't. It would send an appalling message to their AFLW side and that whole competition about how the club views SA. You can't put him on the inactive list in those circumstances just to boost your list with an active player. I would have little doubt if that was enquired about (which I doubt but you never know) that they would have been told to GAGF...though in slightly nicer words


Now, if he was sacked, that would be slightly different but I don't know how that affects the list etc and at what point could they sack him, I'd think it'd have to be after he was convicted to breach his contract.
