I agree with you. 1 thing about development I would say is the kids actually have no one to learn off in the VFL. We have no experienced players in there. If Doc is physically ok I hope he goes to the VFL and helps teach the kids onfield. For example Tom Hawkins is playing country footy. Why not say hey Tom we don't expect much, we will give you light training sessions etc all we want mainly is for you to play and teach our forwards. Imagine what Lemmy could learn off him including other forwards. Not saying he would but these kids in the VFL need someone on field. I would go as far to say get a back, mid and forward all ex AFL players or at least experienced people. It's hard for kids to learn off kids. Hopefully Doc will go back there and do this but i still feel 1 experienced player on each line would help immensely. Look at all these players from 2024 delisted or retired. Surely we could find a few in this lot.
