When Boyd played seniors he was used more in a lockdown role.

I don't reckon we've ever actually tried him at a rebounding/creative role for an extended period.

If we have, then he's either not used enough, or just can't get to the right spots.

Still not sure why he hasn't been tried forward of center, where he can be effective i50 and be within scoring range himself, but anyway.
