They will tell you you have to wait until August as you cannot cancel during the season

They will make a note and call you at last payment of the season, to see if you still wish to cancel.

Then you can  say something like...

Well, tell me your plan to get us out of the shithole we are in and then I'll let you know if I want back in before the season starts.
