Did anyone see Marngrook tonite? Terry Daniher said that when he left South Melbourne, he was going to Fitzroy - but Essendon came in at the last minute with a contract offer! If he had been a Lion, the rest would have followed, surely.

Does anyone know anything about this? How history would have been changed if he had?

Just thought it was an interesting coulda been.

As I understand the situation, fitzroy were offered Terry and neale in exchange for John Murphy( I think ) but instead took Terry o'Neil and John Blair.The same year they cut terry wallace in preseason for being too slow.
Basically gave awaay 3/5 of what could have been a premiership goal to goal line with Quinlan Walls Chris Smith Harvey Merrigan etc etc.
