APS season 2012

A fitting close to the season would see SKC play XC for the coveted APS premiership. Perhaps topped off with a game-deciding kick after the siren ala last year's game between these two heavyweights.

For this game to be an effective Grandfinal, both teams need to make it to the game within 1 win of one another.

Skevs still have BGS
Whilst XC have CY
Does anybody know whether the next round is a VM round? CY with a full side will definitely have the guns to test XAV.

Figured out how Geelong have been winning all their games this year. I don't think anyone would have ever seen a more bias and terrible display of umpiring than that down in Geelong yesterday. Geelong resulted in at least 3 goals from very dodgy 25m penalties. At one stage, a heavy but fair bump on the wing ended up with a red card and 3 25m penalties in a row and Geelong with a shot from 15m out. If skevs had of lost that game it would have been the most undeserved win in the APS this year. The boys did very well to put up with such c**p.
In case you didnt know mate Skevs got a downfield late in the game that could have gone either way that resulted in a goal sealing the game for them

You and all the others can hate on skevs as much as you want, the fact of the matter is the currently sit on top of the APS ladder with a perfect record. The more you people consistantly talk garbage about how the are hacks, will just come back to bite you all if they are the ones holding up that cup at the end of the season. Hopefully xavier win their next to games against two strong opponents in a full strength Carey outfit and a solid Halibury team, effectively setting up for the third straight year another grand final. After that then say what you will, but that will be the true test of who truely is the best

No chooksback we are not *ed, yet i do agree that Brighton are flying under the radar. They supposedly knocked off carey in a practice match by 10 goals. Both teams had big names out but 10 goals is still a very large margin. Christian Salem of the sandy dragons has been in the best a couple of times, still got nothing on the mighty bloods with the likes of Nath Freeman and Alex Spencer.
How did those "Bloods" go against BGS by the way mate?

trinity beat skc by one point in a practice match
Word on the street says Carey will tank this weekend against Xavs so the stage is set for a final round Grand Final against SKC. Please do not insult the Carey Boys as they will give their best against Xavs. Do not insult Carey pride that they will throw a game because of the so called hatred against SKC and them winning a back to back APS flag. Carey boys play to win with what they have and whilst a flag is beyond their reach this season to defeat Xavs will set their sights on next year. Dont discount BGS at home against SKC either, they have a strong team and are well coached. Will wait and see.

would find it pathetic if carey were to apparently tank their game against xavier tomorrow, and if they would it is a slap in the face towards the APS competition, if xavier really want the premiership so bad they should have pulled their fingers out in round one

you do realise if xavier wins, brighton gets the premiership if they don't lose... xavier are out of the race so i hardly think it will be the 'biggest game in history' if its not even for a premiership

Brighton still have to beat Geelong in Geelong- that's no cakewalk if they are fielding a full strength team

Well no.. If brighton loses 1 of the games against either Geelong or Melbourne Grammar, and Xavier beat both Hailbury and St Kevins they will win.

There are 3 possible scenarios now..

1) Skevs win both their games against Wesley and Xavier - Skevs Premiers
2) Brighton win both their games against Geelong and MGS, AS WELL as relying on Xavier beating St Kevins - Brighton Premiers
3) Xavier win both their games against Hailbury and St. Kevins, Brighton lose 1 of their 2 games - Xavier Premiers

was glad to hear the arrogant bunch st.kevins lost their first game on the weekend, heard angus scott screwed it up for them more then twice in the dying minutes, and the so called 'father son' draft pick hunter choked on a relatively easy kick to make it 5 points the difference. looking forward to the last round, the xavs should surely have them covered now that there confidence is busted.

St Kevins confidence isn't busted as they came stroming home in the last half showing how strong the team really is. I am expecting Wesley to get a flogging with an angry Skevs team looking for redemption in the last 2 rounds. Hunters kick was barely a choke either as it was 40 out on a 45 degree angle. I think we should see how the rest of the season shapes up before we starting making outrageous statements.

lol what a flog

brighton over Geelong grammar by 4 points. it's true what they say about the biased umpiring down in geelong. some absolutely horrible decisions paid and then not paid.
