Anyone giving any thought to Levi Greenwood? His last 6 weeks have been very good.

With Kangas good run home, keen to bring in a few.

Dal Santo, Harvey also in mix.

Dal Santo and Harvey are both proven performers, Kieran Jack was a bit popular a few months back, Sloane is the flavour of the month now. I wouldn't but if you want to take a risk go for it. For his price you can get an SJ or similar.

I wouldn't be getting too caught up in Norths "good draw" coming up.

On form a "good draw" for North would be playing against the top 4 sides... not the battlers.
They seem to be a lock for losing the games they "should" win atm.

i'm toying with a devious plan.......

7 trades left.... $308k in the bank.....

Backs are set with:
Mcveigh, Bartel, Hanley, Simpson, Malceski, swallow
Georgiou, Z.Jones

Mids are:
Ablett, Pendles, Jelwood, Libba, Beams, Cotch, Murphy, Harvey.
Salem, Acres

Rucks are:
Sandi, Lobbe
Currie, Brown

Fwds are:
Danger, Franklin, Martin, Zorko, Breust, S.Martin
Ambrose, Mcgovern.

This week:

McGov > Honeychurch
Breust > Parker

5 trades. $428 k in the bank.

next week:

Ablett > Rocky
Salem > Mitchell.

Leaves me with 3 trades, About $200k in the bank but team looks like this:

Backs:
Mcveigh, Bartel, Hanley, Simpson, Malceski, swallow
Georgiou, Z.Jones

Mids:
Rocky, Pendles, Jelwood, Libba, Beams, Cotch, Murphy, Harvey.
Mitchell, Acres

Rucks:
Sandi, Lobbe
Currie, Brown

Fwds:
Danger, Franklin, Martin, Zorko, Parker, S.Martin
Ambrose, Honeychurch.

Some massive opportunities for loop holing and coverage on every line with MPP's. GOOD MPP's at that.

Am I way out of my mind? I take it in the @ss this week with a big FA from Salem but I'm #1 in all my leagues so no big deal.

Can someone talk me out of this?

keep in mind your good mpp coverage is only useful if you are covering an injured/rested player who has mpp.
also even when it is a mpp player injured/rested... you're still gonna need your bench playing to cover the hole they created in the fwd/ruck lines.
might come unstuck if ambrose and sweet jesus stop getting games?

Just did, Ablett>Sloane, and Ambrose<Harvey leaving me with the following team and 6 trades with 124,900. I know rocky will miss and Danger might, but I need to act in the next 8 hours before I disappear into Internet free land for a week. I have the match up with the bottom team in my cash league so I'm not worried about this weekend in particular. Might try to bring Mitch in for Suckhole next week.

I'm assuming you're keen on the DPP link but I reckon they'd be more points in going, say, Salem > Fyfe/Kennedy/Sloane/whoever else, and switching things around so that Zorko ends up as your bench cover in the mids, especially with Mitchell's form being a bit patchy pre-injury. Either way it's a pretty solid theory and a damn good-looking team.

Dane Swan? I doubt there's anyone in that price range that has looked any good this year. Griffen is cooked and Deledio hasn't been impressive at all. 500k is where the bargains are I think.

If you can wait a week...Sam Mitchell.

Screen Shot 2014-07-10 at 10.13.16 am.png 10 trades and 354k left
thinking this week
ablett to jpk
birchall to mcveigh/malceski

next week
enright to who ever i didnt choose out of mcveigh or malceski
jaensch to mitchell

week after
s.martin to boomer (if i cant afford then litherland to rookie aswell)

Who is the best midfielder under 462K? I'm thinking about rolling the dice on Griffen. Any thoughts?

Hartlett is another to think about. Averages 100ish if you take out the game he got injured. At 410k is arguably better value than Griffen, Swan and Deledio.

Zac O'brien to Honeychurch (Link my Fwds and Mids)
Ablett to Sam Mitchell (Swap him to defence for Suckling next week)

Pick up Rockliff to finish my Mids next week

Leaves me with 3 trades for the year and a finished a team

thoughts??

Think I'll be taking a risk this week and bring in someone sub-500k for Ablett so I can bring Mitchell in for Cutler next week. Hopefully the option of using the loophole with Jaesnch and Suckling (and the extra cover) means I'm overall better off than a straight trade for Ablett to JPK.

I'll reassess after Friday night's game when I know exactly how much Mitchell will cost me. Might be able to do a low value downgrade of Georgiou to a 102k rookie which along with the Ablett trade, might get me enough to go Cutler > Mitchell, and still get JPK in for Ablett by burning an extra trade. I think it's worth it because I have 8 left at the moment.

I like that type of idea - atm i have Cutler/Z Jones as my bench cover

Trading Ablett = $720,300 ($200k to get Mitchell for Cutler) leaves $520k for a mid
then i can use Suckling/Jaensch as my D6/7 and Jones as D8 for year

already have the top mids excluding Rockliff anyway.
Mitchell gets 100 he will be $410k or thereabouts

Makes it interesting!

I've got $1,124,700 to spend on 2 mids, already have:

Pendlebury / Beams / Selwood / Liberatore / Cotchin / Murphy (no one of note on the bench).

what do the wise heads of bigfooty say?
