Two very odd selections (or agreements to play) - Naitanui and Johnson

Both finished the year under sufferance - seems odd they'd interrupt recovry/pre-season for a meaningless game.

Despite that - a squad like that will re-invigorate the competition - that is bloody close to our best players available

Wow, thats a real good side.. backlash from the last series definitely heard, but what happens if Aus just completely destroys them (with no disrespect, its quite a possibility) and game is pretty much over by like HT? Will they just go back to the previous formula of having a only a few stars to make the game even or just finally scrap it?

Im hoping it will be a competitive game and I for one look forward to attending now! :thumbsu:

For NN at least it may be a case of AFL demanding participation, due to his ambassador role. Probs shouldn't play but.

If Anyone goes down with a long term injury during this pointless experiment, we should all riot.

I was glad not to see any Richmond players listed....

If they're going to play a match that doesn't involve premiership points, it should be State of Origin. This concept has ran it's race.

Who else would be eligible to play from
WC (who hasn't retired/isn't injured)?

No one - but if we don't have anyone who'd qualify - then don't pick them.

The only thing in his favour is he hasn't needed any post-season treatment, will have had 8 weeks off and just started pre-season - so hopefully he will be ailment free. I just don't want another pre-season interrupted.
