Just when you think the gene pool can sink no lower, Nek Minnitt, Kelly the Bombers fan gives us her informative legal view of the saga. Priceless.

Well it just got lower again.....and he is the Chief Football Writer for News Ltd...

"IT’S the vibe. It’s Mabo. It’s Hird.

For most of us, our relationship with the High Court of Australia comes from watching The Castle.

It’s in Canberra. It’s wigs and silks. And judges — and there could be up to seven of them sitting in judgment — are a bunch of crusty old people who look after the little people."

In this regard, Hird believes he is the little person.

Haha, Robbo really shouldnt write anything on a Friday arvo. He had to be 10 pots in to think anyone will buy that.

Wow. He must have knocked back a couple of bottles of Single Malt to come up with that s**t.

Truly mind blowing stuff!!!! Respect Slobbo !!!!!

"But Hird hasn’t been good at waiting throughout of all this.

It’s why, if he does succeed in getting to the High Court, it should not be a surprise.

To him, it’s not about money, even though by the end he could be as much as $500,000 out of pocket, nor is it about what people think of him, or whether other AFL coaches talk to him, or whether the AFL welcomes him back with open arms.

No, it’s about standing up to organisations such as the AFL and ASADA when he believes their conduct was wrong."

Get this lol, .....how's the last line.

Does Albert have ZERO self awareness lol

They maybe. But justices construing that said power comes from the players not objecting is plain dumb. (Not suggesting that all Adelaide supporters are dumb by any means.)

Wookie you have a weak way of living. Personality strength does not separate right from wrong. The question is how does the players lack of objections to the process make the process legal. (Right is separated from wrong by human sensibility, not your accredited monkeys on their way to the top of ladder. Who may have some human sensibilities but aren't beyond the reproach that you are suggesting.)

Hird said at the beginning that "Essendon had done nothing wrong and he just wanted the truth to come out".

So why all the drama here?

So the players tell the truth and now its a problem.

Go figure that one!!!!!

Ah, now I think I have got it!

Anti-Doping bodies following due process to try and ensure the game we all love is PED Free = CONDUCT THAT IS WRONG

Pumping your entire playing list full of experimental, banned, not to be used on Humans Drugs = CONDUCT THAT IS OK WITH JIMMY

:thumbsu:

Middleton correctly judged the argument put forward to him, appeals court confirmed this.

The argument you are trying to use to say Middleton was wrong was never presented to him, thus he could not make a judgement on it. Hird tried to introduce the arguement on appeal and was told can't introduce a new arguement on appeal we not going to listen to it. It should have been presented to Middleton.

I would seem Hirds legal team was confused over the difference between a retrial and an appeal.
Wonder about the choice of Amendola, whose claim to fame is losing in court to the unions on the Patricks and O'Connors Meats cases. He most likely brought Hanke to the table (having worked with him on Patrick's)

That was the line that almost had me swearing at the computer...it truly beggars belief

Hird was also extremely confident of his legals appeals, both of which were swept away with the judicial contempt it deserved.

Rather than the 'little man' (and isn't that an apt description given the corporate bully by his side) he's shown to be the 'big man who makes all the rules'. Or so he thinks. The man who thinks he can do no wrong, the man who has lead a charmed existence all his professional life. The man who obviously believes he's above the law.

As for Robbo, whose drunken dribbling over the Little Paper are amusing at times, has gone beyond denial, beyond wishful thinking, beyond sycophantic fart-catching, and he's now just soiling himself in public fueled by the ferocity of a dodgy laksa.

Hirds judgement - stemming way back to 2011 when he bought in dank and charter to run his supplement program - has been exceptionally poor throughout this whole thing. Accepting full responsibility, and then not. Telling half truths and probably lies. Accepting a million dollars and contract extension from his club. Throwing mates and bystanders under a bus. Listening to Ian Hanke and Martin Hardie. Appealing Judge Middletons decision against the wishes of the Club AND the players. Does anyone else need any more evidence of his ******* poor judgement? And people still want him to be coach. * me drunk.

I like to imagine Little has a golden statue of Hird in his humble bungalow Scarface style.

Robbo is now at the stage where a vigorous course of trepanning (as practised at the blackcat school of phrenology) may well be the only solution.

Slobbo is just plain embarrassing.

How he keeps his job after all the crap he has written amazes me.

He has mentioned "the conduct of individuals".

Guess what Robbo - this is exactly what this is all about!

And as "Vlad" famously said words to the effect of "it was not the AFL that put needles in young mens arms and inject them with substances they now have no records of".

Essendon fans need to remember how/who started this debacle, who has unnecessarily prolonged it, who has done all they could to stop the truth coming out and stop shooting the investigators.

Imagine the glorious insights that Phrenology would reveal from Robbo's busted coconut.
