He's a real smooth mover and great on both sides of the body and in the air. I know i have said this before but this place went into meltdown when we picked him before Shaun McKernan in the draft. Pretty happy with that choice now!

Stacks up nicely against a bloke that's supposed to be a nailed on All Australian this season.

Has he signed beyond 2015?! Hopefully he has and I just can't recall/find it.
i seem to recall earlier in the year reading that he had a trigger in his contract for next year.
He has played every game so you would assume it has been activated. Nonetheless should get a 2-3 year deal even if trigger activated.

Wood only just beats him, but Wright should be considered for the top 40 squad, but that will be filled with midfielders.

Is he really among the four or five best performed HBs this year? Think Wood, Murphy, McVeigh, Shaw and Kolodjashnij would be ahead of him at least.

Wood gets a lot more media attention because he's playing in the flavour of the month team and takes (apparently) more intercept marks.

Wright is as good, if not better, at the intercept marking caper, and a far better lock-down defender.

His ability to use both sides of his body to dispose of the footy effectively gets us out of so many bad situations, it's not even funny.

He's definitely one of the players we should be building our future around.

These two are probably my two favourite hbf at the moment. I used to think wood had wright for one on one marking but wright has improved hugely in this area recently. Would Wright have him for metres gained this year? What I like about wright is that he moves the ball forward. He just about negates Hansen's safe sidewards and backwards chip kicks.
