Be nicer if they made it a top 9 and the minor premiers reward could be a week off after round 23, and in turn the AFL would get an extra week in the finals.

Though not sure how the finals would work, assume something like the previous top 5?

Because AFL is not EPL. None of the players or coaches would care at all about the trophy for the minor premier.

Congrats to Freo on a great H&A season but the trophy won't be much consolation if you bow out in a prelim/GF. And it will be just as meaningless if you win the Grand Final.

I don't think we're playing the best footy...but we've been most consistent and to be frank I had us, and I'm sure most did, between 4th-8th.

So we now get to rest up, play some kids next week and give it our best shot.
