This imo was an excellent days work from the team.
Losses like this and last weeks are the ones that build the teams character. growth in mental toughness and experience late in close games is exactly what we need this year.

Not happy to lose. But very happy with the Team.

Best performance of the year I reckon.

The effort was excellent, for all 4 quarters. Highest tackling game of the year. Walker just spoke about the heat we brought around the contest - that's great to hear from an opponent.

Reeves, Newcombe, Nash, Amon all terrific through the middle. Things are starting to click there. Some real physicality with Newcombe, Nash and Long - opposition mids will be feeling the bruises.

Forward line is still a scrap and we have defenders who try hard but make errors.

On whole, great effort. Their skills are just that bit better.

I'm super dark on Sicily for playing on with that handball to Jiath. You're the captain, mate. Go back, use some clock, find an uncontested mark and if it's not on, go long down the line were we can get some numbers to a contest.
He needs to set the tone, establish composure for the rest of them. That's not it.

Sucks to not get the win, but compare the work rate of this game to the smashings earlier in the year. There is immense improvement, and that is coming from some young of the younger chaps.

This team is building nicely, in 2-3 years, with experience and bigger bodies, it will be even better.
